Beware.. the Brass portions of the adapters are not brass. They are some lightweight metal that is brass plated. I thought this item would be the same quality as the Nelson or Gilmore products, which are SOLID brass, but they are not. Not impressed with the quality. Get the Gilmore or Nelson adapters instead.

the 3 hose parts with the hose clamps are NOT real brass. They are a very thin metal painted to look brass, the pictures are very deceiving as they make the metal look thicker than it is. The other 2 pieces with the full clamps are ok and thick enough to use. Amazon refunded my money and will discuss matter with seller

I failed to read all of the questions. These seem similar to ones I bought from someone in the past. Our water is very corrosive and it ate these up. I was making the assumptions that Heavy Duty implied brass. This is my mistake and others with better water should get good value.

These are cheap copies of good stuff. The hose clamps are so poor;y made that you can't tighten them enough for the fitting to stay leak-free. The clamp simply strips and is unusable. I had to buy good clamps to make them work. Beware the cheap price!

1 of the 6 pieces was defective. Had to utilize other parts so did not want to return whole package. I wish there was a way to contact company in return process. Also, installing one of the fittings was very difficult to slide the outer threaded sleeve over the hose...not a quick job.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for the installation is is that it is not easy to install. Now, don't take that as a knock on the product as if it was easy to install you might get a leak around the connection. Plan on at least 5 minutes on getting the fitting totally on the hose. You have a metal male part that is larger than the female hose (be sure you have a square cut) and it takes some effort to mate the two entirely together. Don't expect your wife to do it and some guys might give up with sore hands. I might suggest, too late for me, lubricating the fitting with a little soap or oil, not too much and I think the job would be a LOT easier.

Not sure what it's it's made of since other reviews seem upset but it does what I need it for.The screw end of my hose popped off. The hose was still perfect and still has 6 years on its 10 year warranty but wasn't sure of brand or purchase place. This fixed it right up.If you saw what popped off, a flimsy piece of steel, you would think this replacement end was amazing. It's more than twice as long inside the hose and the screw clamp tightens enough to do the trick. Will revise this if not.
