Lion Eyes (Shifters Unbound: Shifters Gone Wild)

Ok, but a little frustrating
I wanted to spend more time with Bree, Seamus and her mom. Instead, the book kept bringing in the guys from the other book and made them act like jerks. I get that Seamus is an unknown to the other shifters, but couldn't the two leads get to know each other more before Dylan and Tiger show how manly they are? It was frustrating, especially, because the mystery of the brother and the house itself was sort of pushed to the sidelines as the shifter town converged on Bree's house. Spoiler * I mean, are we going to ignore the fact that our previous heroes were willing to break into a human's house, potentially hurt two women to kidnap a sleeping shifter? You'd think Tiger at least would have been against the idea...not to mention that Seamus's smell is not at the scene, which we find out through Dylan. I was like, then why attack an innocent man?! Anyway, an ok read, but I would have preferred more of a focus on our leads and not the shifter town.

Great Novella
Summary:Bree has just decided to give up trying to be a Shifter groupie when a lion Shifter slams into her truck and tells her to drive. Seamus is on the run from hunters, other Shifters, and who knows who else. All Bree knows is that he’s compelling, needs her help, and most intriguing of all, wears no Collar …Seamus McGuire fears he’s gone crazy—feral—and become a killer. His only hope of getting away from the hunters and police on his tail is Bree, a human woman who not only knows a lot about Shifters but has great compassion for them.Things are more complicated than they seem, however. Seamus is on a mission, to protect those in his care after the destruction of Kendrick’s compound of un-Collared Shifters. Seamus must keep it together and keep his charges hidden, but at the same time, he’s pulled to Bree as he’s never been pulled to a woman before. He needs to prove he’s innocent and not crazy before it’s too late for himself, Bree, and those he’s vowed to protect.Review:This Novella is the best in this series yet. From the second, you open the book to the last you are intrigued with both Bree and Seamus and can feel the heat and pull between the two. I have to say Miss Ashley, is impressing me as each book the writing is stronger and the plot line has so many twists you don’t have any clue on how it’s going to end until you’ve finished the book. I’ve noticed other authors seem to stick to one basic plot, but not Miss Ashley each book in this series has its own unique plot line, which to me makes it much more enjoyable than sticking to the same plots. The development of the story line and characters is complex. The characters feel so real you forget your reading a book. The editing is top notch as you find no errors, which to me take away from the readability of book. Conclusion:Would you recommend this book to others? YESWould you read other books written by this Author? YESIs this book a Novel or Novella? NovellaIs this book priced correctly? The Ebook is priced correctly, but for people on a budget like myself I’d never pay $8.99 for a novella in paperback form….

A Fabulous Read
This book is part of Jennifer Ashley's Shifters Unbound series which I love. In "Lion Eyes" we first meet Seamus who comes to and finds himself standing over two humans who have been killed. He fears he's going feral because he doesn't remember what happened. Hunters spot him so he runs thinking he'll steal a vehicle from the shifter bar that he sees. However, he winds up jumping into a pickup that is driving away from the bar which is how he meets Bree. Seamus in one of the uncollared shifters and has others whom he's trying to protect. Bree decides to help him. Soon the Austin Shifter Town leaders become involved as they work to solve the mystery of the murder as well as the mystery of Seamus' emotions. Bree is sure that Seamus is not going feral and that he didn't kill the humans. This story draws you in and keeps you interested throughout. I found myself cheering for Seamus and loving that he found his mate in Bree. The connection between Bree and Seamus is wonderful. I highly recommend this book.

Engaging!!!
Seamus McGuire an un-collared shifter found himself being hunted by humans and shifters for something he didn't remember doing. All he wanted was to find a place to hide until he figured things out.In came Bree Fayette into the picture, a woman who was just looking for a nice night out to meet people who shared her interest in shifters.....Only for her to get rebuffed by some of the female shifters at a local roadhouse.Seamus and Bree collide and from there on, they find themselves on this venture....As they get tho know each other, they realize that they were meant to meet.Lion Eyes was a fun novella, I liked Seamus and Bree but the one that had me smiling was Bree's mother, Nadine......the latter was a firecracker. My first time reading one of Jennifer Ashley's book and it was a pleasure...Marvelous job.
