Spud Spikes 6-inch Potato Baking Nails Food Grade Stainless Steel Combo Pack, Set of 4

After searching many sites and finding mostly aluminum nails I came across these fantastic Spikes! I ordered (2) sets for Christmas presents. After Christmas I ordered some with seasonings for myself. Used them in my toaster oven (1) at a time for a timing and temperature check. My Grandfather introduced me to nails in potatoes over (60) years ago while camping. Finally, all I can say is Wow!

My neighbor recommended these spokes and they work perfectly. No more under cooked potatoes!

Friend of mine didn’t believe that nails in potatoes help them cook better. These do the trick but seem fairly expensive for some nails. But if you like baked potatoes may be worth it to you. Also seasoning isn’t bad

I tend to bake them at about 410 degrees, for about an hour, depending on size (i.e fat vs. thin). And they are thoroughly done, fluffy and just wanting for lots of butter, salt, pepper, shredded cheese, bacon bits, snipped chives or whatever floats your baked potato boat! Delighted!!

I used this product to bake potatoes. Works great, I would buy this product again. The seasoning is good also. I will tell others about this product.

Just like everything-you have to use it-adjust it-adapt it-First of all the nails are way too short for the money you spend. Second, don't follow the instructions telling you to use up to 450 degrees. It will take a lot of trial and error with your specific method of baking or cooking with these things to find the right temperature to make it work. I put the potatoes in my Weber at 400* and they got done alright but the outside was a little dried out and the inside was the same. Really works but you will have to find your own level. I tried sausages and they too dried out. A lot less time needed to cook with these things. Will continue to experiment with them. Still not sure whether these are worth the money. I've decided not to buy anything else on Amazon that doesn't qualify for Prime shipping. These things toke way to long to get.

I believe that the potatoes that I have baked using these nail are the best that I have had. I have yet to use the nail on the BBQ but plan to this summer.I didn't care for the seasoning on my potatoe, but that is just me. I don't care for salt on my potatoes either. I did use the seasoning on chicken and loved it.
