These are really good protein bars - nice texture, flavor and size

I started buying the Peanut Rasberry as a staple for my daily breakfast. It was the best protein bar that I have found in a while. I just received the newly packaged formula and am very disappointed. They are dry and crumbly and no longer edible. This was done with my last “go to” protein bar by Sol - formula changed and it was ruined. Very disappointed.

I like the peanut butter raspberry flavor of this bar. I needed to add protein to my diet so this bar is the solution for me. It does not stick to my teeth as did other bars that I tried. Although, it does not contain seed oils, I do see oil visible on the surface when I remove the wrapper; that being said it is not causing me any discomfort which is a plus because I have a sensitivity to oil.

Starting with the good aspects, everything about the bar is exactly what I wanted with healthy ingredients and simplicity for my morning protein. But that is about it.The bad aspects would be several factors that may keep me from eating the rest of my box.First the smell of these bars is extremely strong and makes me question how natural they are because the fruit smell coming from this thing is very almost overwhelming once the package is opened. Imagine the fruit toothpaste from your dentist office when they clean your teeth, it almost smells like chemicals.Second issue is the texture, not the worst bar I’ve had but very gritty and dry, goes down but I do need water after a second bite.Lastly the flavor, I have the peanut butter raspberry. It’s not bad compared to some real nasty bars I’ve tried but it just tastes off, there is a peanut butter after taste but all you get initially is a chalky fruity flavor reminiscent of fruit toothpaste at the dentist.Personally I like them better than others but this is not going to be my new go to bar.

Makes me feel sick with indigestion. The peanut butter ones are much better.

My favorite bars. Keto friendly and very clean. No "fake sugar" taste.

Update: The company contacted me fairly soon after my review was posted, and offered to replace the bars with a fresh box. They even included a handwritten note in the new shipment. I appreciate this level of customer service that has, unfortunately, become so rare.I like these bars in general, but it seems they have been moving through old stock for updated labeling. The last two boxes we got were dry, hard, and stale. My daughter even jumped out of the car because she said the bars smelled so bad they were making her Ill. Too bad, as I have been searching for the perfect protein bar for decades. But unpredictable odds of getting old stock in multiple orders is a real deal breaker.
