Loving this so far!
Just got this today, and we've started getting my female pitbull used to having it on by letting her wear it for 10-15 minutes every couple hours throughout the day and practice walking around the house and yard in it and I noticed an IMMEDIATE different from before. She is 2.5 years old, weighs 60 lbs, and is brute-strong as well as headstrong and stubborn as a mule. We have tried since the day she wandered into our yard two years ago to get her leash trained to no avail. Nothing works. We've tried nearly every no-pull harness on the market, as well as various types of collars that all promise to assist in leash training. The only thing we hadn't tried was a prong collar which I am not wild about and had been avoiding.I first saw this head halter type of lead a year ago and thought it looked ridiculous to be honest and didn't give it a second thought. Then after the last year of trying and failing with every other product out there as well as seeing her chew through three step in type harnesses during a five minute potty break, so all told hundreds upon hundreds spent on all these various devices, this week I decided after stumbling on the.is head halter again, this time on Amazon, and reading so many positive reviews, it was worth a shot, and boy am I glad I ordered it!Not kinky is the price much better than the ones I've seen in local b&m pet stores, this thing is already looking to be a lifesaver. She doesn't care for it too much, but she is starting to get used to it and I finally got it adjusted to where she can't pull it off. She still tries, and wants to try and chew the bit that goes from halter to collar, but I'm watching her closely while in it of course as directed and not letting her, and redirecting her as the package instructs when she attempts to remove it. So far so good! When we walk, she is actually staying with me instead of trying to drag me full speed into a marathon. I think this just might work. And it's so important because we are trying to get her to where she can be a service animal for my autistic child, who she is very protective of and watchful over already. We just have had no luck getting her to behave on a leash which makes everything else impossible to go foreword with.I will update this review in time with how it is working out for us but as for now, I am loving this and it is night and day difference in less than 24 hours of use! Two thumbs up!

Excellent Concept, Well-Made, My Dog Hates Everything
The collar is well-made and appears to be something that will last. The XS fits our 14lb Jack Russell perfectly, although she made vigorous attempts to get it off of her head the first 30 minutes. At one point I had to pick her up and explain that she needed to wear it because I am tired of walking 5 miles with her pulling the whole time and also that I wasn't going to carry her for five miles either. Whether she understood this I have no idea but once she realized I wasn't taking it off of her she did okay. She is a very smart dog, but her need to be contrary sometimes outweighs her intelligence. She realized early on that if she pulled, it put pressure on her face and head, which she did not care for. However, rather than scaling back the pulling, she just pulled harder and pushed through the discomfort. If you have ever had a Jack Russell Terrier this of course comes as zero surprise. I still believe the collar itself is an ingenious concept and since we have only tried it once I remain hopeful that she will get used to it and figure out that pulling harder is not the answer. On a side note regarding sizing: I purchased another one of these for my sister's 115lb Rottweiler in a size XL and it fit him perfectly. They have not yet used it, but when we tried it on him for fit he only tried to push it off for the first minute or so and then no longer seemed to care about it. I will try to remember to update my review once he's used it on a walk.

I could not believe how easy and fast our puppy learned not to pull
I could not believe how easily and quickly our puppy learned not to pull. It took *one* outing. That was it. As a Golden Retriever she was getting bigger and stronger every day and her pulling was getting to be an issue too. We tried everything; from stopping and not moving forward to clicker training to turning around and going the other way. She would be good about 80% of the time but when she got excited she was all over the place. Now this part is important - initially she didn't like it. I used to train horses and saw the same kind of reaction from young horses learning to wear a halter. She pawed and wiped her muzzle on everything to try to get it off. After leaving it on for a few hours, though, she stopped panicking and settled down. We also made sure she understood she could still eat and drink with it.My vet had recommended a head collar and had one important thing to say, too. A lot of people don't get it fitted properly. It's not meant to be a bit loose like a collar (I was always taught you should be able to fit two fingers under the collar.) The headcollar is meant to fit snugly. If you fit it too loosely, it won't work properly and the dog will get out of it. You want to be able to fit one small finger under it and it should be forward just a little bit away from the eyes. If it's too tight, it will stress the dog and not work, too, so make sure it's snug but not tight. If the flesh on your dog's muzzle is bunched up around it, it's too tight. If you decide to use it on a puppy, like we did, check the fit daily!! I can't stress how important it is to check and make sure it fits right, every time.So if you're conscientious and don't like your dog pulling you everywhere like an anchor, this is for you.

Dog harness holds head unable to pull you
It took awhile for my dog to let me put it on. I suggest that 2 people help to put it until dog gets used to it and the dog can’t back out of it as easy

Exactly what I was after.
Great quality, easy to use, fits pretty good. The dog hates it; but she’s dramatic and will get used to it eventually!

Fits bully breeds.
Great quality with out paying for a more common brand (halti) purchased for 15week old dogo lab mixes xl fits 17"_24"collar and 7"_9"snout these were alittle big in the neck ,used a zip tye to fold and hold excess neck band cut and filed zip tye so as not to irrate neck.these will see the dogs through their constant growth. Pups took to this way of walking very quikly and has stopped all pulling before it became a habit..

Did not stay on
Bought size xs for my 9lb chihuahua mix. Did not work it wouldn't stay on for more than 5 seconds at a time. Only way to keep it on for 10 seconds was to tighten it so tight she couldn't open her mouth, so I gave up. Too bad because she pulls on the lead. I've heard good things about halties. Maybe it works better for big dogs?

Great training tool!
walking with the leash got instant better. Size 1 worked for my catahoula cross aussie who is about 40lbs right now. She can drink water with it on but has a hard time with eating

Use it on Mastiff
Works great on my Mastiff. Have to make sure it is tight enough or he just throws it. Easier said then done with all of those jowls. It took a bit of getting used to for him, but the pulling has nearly stopped completely.
