This part is also called the Thermometer Port. It is a gray rubber part that sits on the outside of the main bowl of the cooker, on the right side of the fuel door. It has two ports designed to accept multiple size of heat probes, sensors, and thermometers. It has one small round port made for smaller probes and a larger slot port made for large or dual probes. This part is sold individually.

Very hard to install
Drilling for this is easy, just follow the many directions you will find here, and on you tube. Pushing the silicone thing into place is another story. I worked for an hour after warming it and coating it with soap then olive oil. Finally the lip broke off. I can see how this would be a huge benefit but not it you can't install it. Now I have ordered two more of them in the hope I can get it in, and if not, some high temp tape to cover the hole I have in my grill. Its a great idea but a poorly engineered iteration. The new ones arrived. Same method of install and oddly enough, same results. It is impossible to install. During the install it's not like you can see how it's going to work. It's not like it starts and then falls out: it simply doesn't work. I finally cut some 'relief' slits in one side which allowed the thing to at least start to slide in, then worked it around until there was just one little piece and butter knife pushed it in place. Of any video showing this install, none take it all the way, hence really showing how it is done. They start then they finish; I would argue there are none because the thing is never installed with out some kind of mod to it. Br ready for frustration, sore fingers and finally 'snip, snip,'.

Good for Smoken Joe
I bought this for my Smoken Joe Highland Smoker. I bought a step drill to drill the 1 1/4” hole who he’d worked great. Took about 10 minutes taking my time to step through the hole sizes until. It took a few minutes to get the Weber probe plug into place. I found it easier to come in from the house snide of the smoker pulling the probe plug lip in place from the outside. The Weber plug was firm but still playable to pull the lip through. The plate on the Highland is pretty thick but was not a problem to install the probe plug.

There’s cheaper options
Easy enough to install. My grill didn’t come with a spot to put my probes through so I grabbed this. Just drilled a small pilot hole and used my step bit to get it to the proper size. After the fact I noticed there are other sellers that are selling unbranded ones for cheaper. Would probably have bought one of those had a looked a little closer.

My smoker should have come with this
You need 1 1/4 step bit to install. Use a tiny bit of vegetable oil to install after you drill the hole. I got this for my Oklahoma Joe Smoker so I can run my thermometer cables through this so the cables wouldn't be squished everytime I would close the lid. 5 stars for a perfect fit and also for keeping a good tight seal so smoke stays in the cooking chamber. This modification is perhaps the cheapest but yet one of the best you can do for your stick burner.

Works great for my Oklahoma Joe!
Works great on my Oklahoma Joe! I drilled a 1' 1/4 hole with a Neiko 10194A Titanium Step Drill Bit, which took awhile, but you have to be patient and you need to use alot of drill lube (you can use dish detergent with a little bit of water as drill lube if you dont already have some lying around) then I just soaked the grommet in some hot water and used cooking oil to make it easier to force into the hole. It works great and you could easily fit 6 or 7 probes into the grommet. 5/5

Works great on Weber 22" Kettle
Installed on my 22" Weber kettle. I used a step bit also bought on Amazon: Neiko 10194A Titanium Step Drill Bit, High Speed Steel | 1/4" to 1-3/8" | Total 10 Step Sizes . Took about 10 minutes to drill the hole and install. Use a corded power drill and the step bit to drill a 1 1/4" hole a little bit below the food grate. It takes a little work to get the grommet into the hole. I can easily fit my 2 probes through, you could probably fit 3 or 4.

Works as designed.
Make sure you drill an accurate clean, deburred hole and be patient when fitting the slot in the hole.

Weber 57cm Kugelgrill gepimpt...
