Interesting product. Makes a tomato paste similar to what is used on pizzas.
I got this in recently and tried it out. I mixed a small amount with hot water in it, and the mixture swelled right up to about 3 times the powder amount. The paste tasted about like a common sauce used on spaghetti. You can make it thick, or thin, depending upon how much water you use. It could also be used as the tomato paste on pizzas.I consider it pricey, and I even got it on sale here on Amazon. It gets 4 out of 5 stars from me. 1 star is taken off for the high price.

Pretty tasty stuff. Great in home made chili
The can was pretty full of a nice fine tomato powder. When water is mixed in it tastes just like the canned product. I used some in my home made chili last night and it worked great. Will be using to make some dry mix soups and dinners as well as adding to my regular cooking. Will buy again.

Love this product
Love this product, its great for thickening any tomato based soup or sauce. I add to home made soups for extra flavor. You can reconstitute it for juice, not my favorite way but, it works. I do not keep tomato paste around. You can turn this into tomato paste and, save the space of storing it.This product has the best flavor of all tomato powders I have tried. Worth having for storage and, every day use as a staple.

Stew perfect
Works exactly as described. It has a nice strong tomato flavor. I used it a couple of times to add a tomato flavor to a beef stew juice and a soup that I wanted to have a touch of tomato taste too. Love this.

Save on buying tomato paste.
Love the taste. So far, have made basil tomato soup and tomato paste for pizza. I eat pizza often so will be glad not to have a bunch of tomato paste cans in the cabinet. Scooped out some and put in a glass syrup dispenser so could add to dishes when cooking and not expose the entire can to the steam over the stove.

Very pleased
It tastes a lot like Hunt's tomato products, a very fruity and earthy flavour with a richness rare in powders. I got it to add a little extra flavour to my rice, but I keep finding other uses for it as a beverage, a soup, a tomato sauce, a tomato paste, a spaghetti sauce, with cheese as a pizza sauce -- just dilute it to the taste and consistency you want and voilà!

Adds nice tomato flavor
I use this more like a spice/herb seasoning more then to make tomato sauce/paste. Add a spoonful to chicken broth or sprinkle some over chicken before baking along with other spices and such. Can arrived with slight dent on side of the top which made using a can opener on it slightly difficult but can was still sealed. It did have several O2 remover packets inside and after opening the can I measured out the amount I keep for daily use in a plastic container and filled vacuum bags with the same amount for future use, and added a packet of O2 remover in each vacuum bag. Used some in a homemade turkey broth to make turkey stew and it added really good tomato flavor.

Need a recipe
This tomato powder was very easy to work with and definitely had a fresh tomato taste. The only comment I have is; you definitely need a recipe to be able to make the powder into a tasty dish. We made tomato soup and had to get the recipe from the internet, and add other ingredients to the mix. Such as spices, powdered milk, brown sugar etc.
