Q: Will this work with a bathroom fan or kitchen fan to see smoke come out of the vent duct outside?

A theatrical fog generator makes enough smoke to use for interior fan matching to an outlet or to locate leaks in a duct system. It takes a large enough volume of smoke generated to match the fan flow, say 50-250 cubic feet a minute and dense/rich enough to show up after mixing in the duct to outside. The tiny smoke pencil makes just enough to confirm direction of air entering the inlet. OK for some fine close up work.
