The cable seems to work, however it seems to be loose in the socket causing the signal to disconnect. If you hold the cable "just a certain way", it works fine. I'm not certain if this an issue with the cable or the camera. The camera is less than 6 months old. If I were going to use this a lot, I'd probably purchase the Canon brand.
