Excellent for Roses.
This folding hawkbill knife is excellent for dead-heading roses and other flowers. I bought it specifically for use on my roses, and it delivers a quick, smooth cut, that doesn’t mash or damage the stem. It arrived with a super sharp blade, which stays securely in place until I’m ready to fold it away. It’s got a nice weight to it and is very pretty wood handle.

Size measurements need updating: closed = 4" + 3" blade
This seems like a great knife, haven't used it yet, but want to say the size measurements are way off. They are much better than the product description page: overall closed size: 4" NOT 2.5! full opened length 7" [the measurements given don't even seem to add up!] Fits in the hand nicely. Seems sharp but who knows after use.. nice wood handle, seems well made overall. Already cut myself!

Not the best quality
The blades are reasonably sharp but I couldn't figure out how to use the notches on the blade. I could not cut a small rope with the notches so they are not very sharp. The overall finish of the tool is not very good. The rivets do not fill the hole completely, the printing on the tool not even, there are several gaps in the tool that should not be there. The blade is held in place by a spring mechanism and there is no lock. The spring mechanism holds it in the 90 degree (not sure why you need this) or full open position.

Damn sharp.
Sharp as hell. Very impressive for an inexpensive every day carry tool.

Good, sturdy hook knife.
Hook / Hawkbill knives, as a style of knife, have been around for a long time. Circa, 1920-40, first made as a pocket knife by Case Brothers Cutlery. This type of knife has I think historically, when it comes to using a hook knife as a tradesman, it has been used to cut carpet, or long cuts for linoleum floor covering.I had a hook knife when I was a kid working on our farm. Remember the word I used earlier "historically".I have a little bit of historical perspective myself, since I will have my 71st. Birthday this November 27, 2022.I purchased this "Rite Edge Pruning Knife", just to have and enjoy it, to remember some of my childhood and have it as an every-day-carry. So, enough about me;This IS a credible knife and I WILL be using it as a tool while working in my vegetable garden, cutting string, pruning plants and other tasks. The handle is a smooth synthetic wood and well made, as are the stainless-steel blades. I am enjoying my purchase and would recommend it to others.Having said all that, one last caveat:For those of you who want to purchase American Made USA Knives, this Rite Edge knife is made in China.Hope this helps you with your potential purchase.Best and Blessed to all.. \:O).>>>

Very stiff and not sharp
To pull out each blade it takes some work as there’s very little give. It’s not very sharp so won’t do much pruning. But this is a perfect pocket knife to use when needing something “sharp” other than a key.

Love it!
Love it. Super sharp. A little on the heavy side but got used to it quick. I am a florist and use it daily. Still nice and sharp. Have only used the smaller straight knife in it a couple times so it's even sharper. I ordered a couple more as back ups! Incase I loose it. (Florists have a bad habit of loosing knives in the trash.)

Excellent Garden knife
Well made knife that should last a long time and at a fair price, what's not to like? The blades open and close smoothly and they are plenty sharp for any Garden task. The two blade shapes are are very useful around the yard and garden. Nice size for your hand and your pocket.
