TAM WARE Women's Sweetheart Short Sleeve Midi Dress

I am 5'4, 150lbs. 38, 34, 38, a c cup and currently a medium/large or a size 10 in store sizes. I am working on losing baby weight (have a 6 month old) and wanted something I felt good about myself in. I wanted a fitted but not crazy tight fit. I ordered L-XL in the wine color and it was too big. I considered washing it and putting it in the dryer to shrink it, but decided not to chance it, after asking other reviewers whether or not they had put it in a dryer. The L/XL was just a little too big at the waist, and worst of all, at the butt. It pouched out at the hips/butt area because I didn't fill it out enough. So, I ordered the M/L. Got it today and it is perfect. I'm so happy I decided to order the right size instead of messing with one that was too​ big. I plan to wash and hang dry because I don't want it to shrink in any way. It is fitted, but not too tight, arms down to hips. It goes past my knees a couple inches. No slit, but so stretchy that walking is easy. Scoop neck that my bra straps show on, but that isn't something that bothers me. The material is thick, soft and so comfortable! Does not hide my belly pouch :/ but I am working on losing a few pounds... And it isn't the dresses fault a have a bit of a belly :) I blame that my 7 kids, lol. love it.I should also mention that I bought a couple other toms dresses in different styles. One was the woman's stylish v-neck sleeveless double slit bodycon dress and I needed a L/XL. I also bought the woman short sleeve zip up peplum midi dress in L/XL and it was way too big, returned it. Bought the womens classic slim fit bodycon dress in L/XL and it fit perfect! So, unfortunately, Toms dress sizes can't be relied on. This dress looks perfect for fall, winter, spring church wear for me. The other dresses I mentioned are date night/running around at home clothes. I got this dress in an XL even though I normally would have gotten a M. However, I am 6 months pregnant and got it for use as a maternity dress, but I can easily alter it after the baby is born to continue wearing it. I'd recommend going up one size normally, and I only went up two because of my pregnancy. It is very slightly too big on me, but it still looks really good and the baby will grow yet. For reference, my pre-pregnancy measurements were 38" 27" 42", and I'm 5'7". I'm not sure of my current measurements, but my bump is just starting to finally become noticeable.As you can gather from my measurements, I have a pretty serious gym butt, and I have to buy clothes to fit it and my thighs more than anywhere else, but this dress is very generous in the hips luckily. The dress hits just above my knee, and it doesn't ride up like many tight knit dresses do. It also is roomier than expected in the sleeves, and I didn't like that at first, but it's very comfy, and I like that better now. The dress is less stretchy than expected, but it's very thick material. I got the dress with the lavender roses and light green and dark turquoise leaves on a white background, and I had worried that I would need to be selective with my undergarments, but that is not the case as it's very opaque! Wore a navy blue and hot pink bra today under this dress in fact, and nothing showed. Haha.The instructions said to only handwash this dress, but it seems like a fine blend to machine wash and dry; so, I did. I was hoping it would shrink just a little in the dryer since it's ever so slightly big on me, but it did not. My only complaint is that this material seems like it may potentially pill a bit, but that can be shaved off too if it does. I seriously love this dress, especially considering the price, and I want to buy another color now!

I ordered this dress in the navy. When I first put it on (in dim lighting) the dress looked black. Once I turned on a better light I could tell it was navy. It definitely looked navy in natural light. The dress is soft and seems to be good quality. It's thick (but not too thick), and with my boy shorts on I had no panty lines. I ordered it in a size small and medium and I'm keeping the medium. Here's why... I'm 5'4 and currently 106 lbs, but I'm also 15 weeks pregnant. I wear a 32A bra and usually wear a size 0-1 in pants. Due to my growing belly I can still fit my pants, but not buttoned. I can comfortably wear a size 4 buttoned though. Upon trying on the small I could tell it was going to be snug before I even got it pulled over my belly. It wasn't snug in the chest area, but it was snug in the belly and booty area (I don't have a large butt). The dress fit though and looked nice. I easily could have fit in it for a little while longer, but I knew I would outgrow it before the end of my pregnancy. I also knew that it would still fit fairly snug when I'm not pregnant since I'm not very big right now. I'm not certain if my belly will flatten back out after baby number three, so I was afraid I wouldn't be comfortable wearing it after baby was born. The medium also fit. It was easier to get over my head and honestly fit the same in the chest area (slightly loose, but overly loose). It was still fitted, but not snug. I easily have plenty of room to grow and I feel more confident that I will be comfortable wearing this size after baby. They both seemed to hit about the bottom of my knee. I only have two complaints. The dress could stand to be a bit tighter around the bottom. The arms could definitely stand to be tighter. I also wish that the arms were slightly longer. I feel like they are an odd length and with them being so loose I feel like it looks awkward. It's not a deal breaker, but I may try to have them taken in. These are the only reasons I'm giving it four stars instead of five.

I love these tops/dresses. I wear them a lot with skinny pants and leggings. The fabric is soft, stretches and the design fits & flares and hugs by body, while hiding my bulky bits :-). I like the crop neckline that makes these tops great to wear at work and casual occasions.
