Rhino-Rack USA DS118B-DK285 2500 Multi Fit Euro Roof Rack System

I was close to purchasing an original OEM Mazda roof rack for my 2009 Mazda 5. Then I found this item that had good reviews on other websites and was supposedly easy to install (1 hour or less). I got it out of the box and began putting it together. The instructions were confusing but manageable. Then I came to the step that said to install the clip. My car doesn't need a clip because it has screw holes in the top of the roof for installing the podium feet. I searched the box and online for the right instructions for my car, but they were nowhere to be found. I spent the next 4-5 hours messing around with all of the hardware in the box trying to figure out the right configuration of parts to attach it to the roof of my car. When I did finally get it put together correctly (I hope) I realized that I needed some specialized tools (that were not included) to install it on top of my car. So after 2 runs to Home Depot, I had the correct tools for the installation. As I began to turn 1 of the screws (that attaches the roof rack to the car), it would not tighten. I changed the location of the screw and it finally worked. Even though it seems sturdy on the car now, I'm still considering returning it because it's obvious that these parts are not going to stand the test of time. If a screw won't tighten the first time you install it, it's just going to get loser and loser and finally fall off.Bottom line this product has the rhino name but is obviously made in China. If you want to waste a day of your life attaching it to the roof of your car, go for it. But hopefully my review will save you the headache and backache that I now have! Cheers.
