I HIGHLY recommend this great sound device!
I got this Bluetooth waterproof speaker Model AX410 for use on our boat when we go fishing. It rains often here in WA, so I thought I'd try this waterproof unit. Was I ever blown away! my niece has (had) a waterproof unit (a different Brand one) as well and it didn't have any sound output to even write home about. It lasted less than 3 weeks and one day we found it in the bottom of the pool at the local YMCA! it leaked and filled with water, and sank! The seller, after much Hemming, and Hawing, shipped her a new replacement (exchange). You guessed it! it sank again but only after a few days use. This unit, the AX410 , Sounds like those small BOSE units but at far less money spent to buy it! The bass and volume it puts out is simply put, "AWESOME"! People ask where the sound is coming from when we just go cruizing, and getting the boat for our up-and-coming Salmon season. They don't believe when I point to the little thing on the dashboard LOL Many had to get next to the boat and have me hold the unit near them before they believed... Of course, asking "how much, and where from" ? It's just THAT good! Pairing with the iPhone took all of 25 seconds too. Dead on arrival, that's what happens for not chosing a known brand. [SEE UPDATE]
First time I get a dead product, not really liked the experience, where is QA department on this company, yes the product is not really expensive but it still costs money, one thing I can say is that the bottom cap which makes this product waterproof is not that tight, not sure if it would have been able to take a bike ride under heavy rain, would have tried it out though, but who knows maybe it was for the best.[UPDATE AUGUST 12TH 2015]After my negative experience I got contacted by the Alpatronix, I actually didn't answer my phone on 3 occasions and they insisted and sent me an email, and they apologized and offered a free of charge replacement, they sent it over and I got it a few days ago.So far so good, is a really nice speaker, you could say there is no distortion at the max volume, there are some barely noticeable loss but you need to have a pretty good ear to catch it, only one out of 6 friends notice them. if you use this for a pool party at max no one will notice, is a subjective thing at the end of the day. but I have had several similar speakers and usually if it distort is pretty noticeable which is not the case with this one.Fits perfectly on my bike bottle holder, to be honest I have not used it for bike rides much because the thing is pretty loud and people look at me like a crazy person, especially since they have no idea where the sound is coming from, and if I lower the volume the wind doesn't let you appreciate the music so much, but that's a personal thing, maybe I'll stop caring and will just ride on with loud music, have not tested the water resistance yet, will wait to be caught in the rain and see if it holds I think it should hold the seal seems like it would hold, if it is on a bottle holder the ports will be facing the floor so is gonna be hard for water to go against the seal and then gravity. once I test the water resistance I will give it an extra star (assuming it survives heavy rain)[UPDATE JULY 10TH 2017]Two years have passed and this speaker has outlived a couple other big brand speakers I had, sound is still crisp, battery still holds the charge strong, and it does survive bike riding when raining, so updating to 5 stars for durability customer service and overall quality.

Wow
Regardless of the reviews I saw, I decided to purchase this device and wow. I'm amazed at the sound quality and volume this device can put out. The bass sound smooth, not like those cheapo speakers you'd usually get for a price like this. I did manage to snag this on a lightning deal and I am not regretting this purchase. Very portable (about the size of a water bottle and about the weight of one as well) so it fits in your bottle pocket on a bag or on your bike to listen to tunes while you ride. Had no issues connecting. The clip is a huge bonus so I can clip it and hang it almost anywhere. Only thing is the sound comes stronger out of one side than the other but sounds great all around it. Glad I got this

Solid portable bluetooth speaker.
This is a solid speaker package. It has plenty of volume (the Beatles sounded very good on this) and the BlueTooth paired quickly with my Motorola phone. I like the speaker sitting on its end as the sound seems a bit directional out of one side or the other, so on its end, I can position it for best directional sound where I am sitting. The advertisement says that it is waterproof, but I would say more like splash resistant. The rubber flap that covers the charging port must be open for either charging or connecting the included sound cable (Male to Male 3.5 mm cable). This speaker will work with BlueTooth with the end flap closed as the power and sound level buttons and mute button are on the opposite end. Once done with the cable connections, you must be sure to properly seat the rubber flap back into position to protect the ports. It is about as big around as a can of soda, about 1.5 times as high, and the weight is a little bit more than a can of soda (15.25 oz). If you want to use this while riding a bike, it should fit nicely in the water bottle holder. There is a small spring loaded carabiner that can slip onto a loop built into the speaker frame (plastic) that could then be used to secure the speaker to the water bottle holder so it won't bounce out onto the trail or road.I like this BlueTooth speaker. The sound level is certainly adequate for a portable speaker, the sound quality is good to my untrained ear, and it appears to be able to take a few knocks if you were to take it camping. I don't think I would leave it out in a rain storm or dunk it in water, but it might survive a light mist. There are only volume controls, no bass or treble, so it is a good thing it is dialed into the range that I happen to like (90 Hz to 20 KHz)! If there were adjustments for bass and treble it would be a 5 star speaker.
