Laguiole En Aubrac Sommelier Waiter's Corkscrew, Red Heart Handle, Wine Opener With Foil Cutter & Bottle Opener

I liked the first purchase I made so much that I ordered another but to my disappointment. It was inferior in two ways. The wooden box was poorly striated with one corner unattractively darker. The corkscrew itself was defined as red as was the previous order but the second one was a muddier color.Shame on Laguiole a company with a beautiful history of excellence.It looks like this order was created from rejected returns then combined and shipped out.

It's a solid, beautiful piece of work with a nice wood inlay. Hinges are tight, and it has an artistic curve the it. The 'feel' is different from the cheaper corkscrews I've been using so there's a slight learning curve.The only negative was the glue used on the 'hand made ' label was awful stuff that took some effort to remove .

This is gorgeous wine key that feels nice in my hand and I can tell I will love using this to open my wine. I'm taking one star off the rating due to their being a very noticeable crack in the display case which results in one of the magnets that help keep the case closed coming out. Overall, this is not that big of a deal, but it is a small defect that I thought I'd note.
