Perfect travel companion
Took this on a trip to Vegas, very compact, takes little room in carry on bag on plane. TSA had me show them what it was, on the return I told them before they asked, no problem anyway. Vegas hotels don’t give you coffee makers in rooms, so this plus some instant coffee was a great solution. Boiled water fast enough, big enough to boil water for two travel mug sized coffee cups. Cool to touch, lightweight, happy with purchase, good design

2 years and going strong!
I bought this product two years ago. It lives in my travel bag. My husband and I travel several times a year, and I always use this to make my morning tea while away from home. This morning, while pouring my boiling hot water for tea, I wondered if I had ever written a review. I hadn’t. So here it is: The Gourmia Collapsible kettle has served us faithfully for two years, and it is going strong. We have hot water for tea or dry soup mixes almost instantly. It takes maybe sixty seconds from pouring water in until it’s boiling and ready to use. It’s easy to clean although I don’t think you can submerge it due to the cord connection. It collapses down small and light for transport. I keep mine in a drawstring produce bag with the cord, my tea, and some sugar and honey packets so I’m always ready to go wherever we are. I would hope to buy this again if this one ever wears out.

Gives this doc the caffeine needed. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Perfect.
I LOVE this kettle! As a medical resident, I need my caffeine and I need it hot and fast! Then, I need it out of the way. I can easily fill several mugs full out of the volume from the pot. There is zero residual taste even with the first use. The cord is detachable which makes it perfect for heating up and going. I often end up working away from my desk and so I can just bring the pot with me and it stays hot for quite a while. And if I want, I can just plug it back in and it reheats super fast. I’ve used it for French press coffee, powdered coffee and a variety of teas including nice teas that need gentle treatment. There’s not a temp gauge on this one but I usually find it easy to determine if hot is too hot or not. It’s such a simple and effective little pot and so cheap, you really don’t need anything else fancy. I just dry it out when I’m done and store in my desk. It’s exactly what I needed.

The best portable coffee machine
Praises for this portable coffee pot aka hot water heater. We went on a trip to Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier, & Mount Rushmore during COVID-19. This meant almost ALL the places we stayed had removed their coffee pots because of inability to keep them sanitary / clean during the pandemic. We frantically started searching Amazon for some way to bring a coffee pot with us because we need our coffee 😬We found this and thought we would try it.IT IS AMAZING!Pros:It is collapsible - which makes it extremely easy to place in your luggage. It warms up quickly & makes the water scalding hot - great for coffee or teaIt has a shut off valve to prevent it from burning dry.Cons:The electric cord is kinda short - it wasn’t a big deal but there were some places we had to be creative as to where to plug in the pot but not a big deal just bring an extension cord.We honestly could not be happier with this product. We said multiple times how grateful we were to have it and our coffee ❤️☕️

Pretty Good
It is perfect for 1 cup of coffee or tea. Does exactly what it should.1 problem; When it shuts off automatically after use, at first, I let it be. After the second use it started boiling as soon as I left the kitchen, unexpectedly. The light was not glowing on the power button. I realized after that the reason I had that problem is because I didn't depress the power button after use when it had auto shut off before. I can imagine this comment might be a little confusing to someone thinking of purchasing the product but trust me as long as you remember to depress the button after use it will work perfectly.

Money well spent - My new travel must have
Bought for a trip to Mexico where I rarely find a way to make coffee or tea in my room. This thing is awesome! I boiled water in it probably 7 or 8 times when I first unboxed it to let it offgas the smell from the silicone. Once you do that it still smells slightly but doesn't impart any weird flavor. Boils super fast. Don't over fill or it will bubble out the spout. Nice and compact. Fit in my carry on bag easily and TSA didn't even blink when it went through the x-ray at the airport. Incredibly happy with my purchase. Saved my travel partner from having to deal with uncaffeinated me. She's no fun.

Convenient, easy portability, versatile!
Since hotels no longer have coffee pots in the room, I didn't have a way to boil water for tea, oatmeal and instant noodles. This is useful and inexpensive solution - easy to collapse and pack up. It takes about 3-4 minutes to fully boil water. I just wished it came with a little carrying case since it's a weird size and I haven't found a suitable packing cube for it. I liked it so much, I bought one for my mom too.Update: boiled eggs in it perfectly! And warmed up hot dogs.

Works well
I just love this product! I bought it 2 months ago and use it very often. I had no trouble at all using it ever since. I have collapsed and unfolded it maybe more than 20 times, works well and the silicone part feels sturdy. It does not boil water extremely quickly but it does the job. I think it takes less than 4”3 minutes at max limit of water. But when I fill water to the max limit, it spits out water as it boils, so I face the pouring mouth away from me. Also I saw some white powder-ish crystalling sometimes for the first week even after I have boiled it for several times at first. It does not have any taste so I am not sure what it is. I washed using in dish detergent a few times, being careful not to get the electric cord connection part wet. But the convenience is phenomenal. I dont remember seeing “bpa free,” though.. When I fill to the max limit it touches the plastic.. hmm..
