Lemongrass Powder | Ground Thai Seasoning | Refreshing Hint of Rose Aroma 4 oz.

I decided to try this spice to enhance my Lemongrass Roast Pork.... I usually only use fresh Lemongrass in the marinade, but my local Korean market was only able to provide me with two kinda "tired" looking stalks... so after i prepared the marinade and cut up the fresh Lemongrass for the recipe, I decided to purchase some of this Lemongrass powder and BOY, was I impressed!! first off the packaging was phenomenal, and the powder was so fresh that you immediately could smell the oils in the powder... I promptly added it to my marinade and when I cooked the pork I got rave reviews!!! I will definitely be purchasing again and would absolutely recommend this spice to anyone who wants to add amazing flavor to their cooking....

Let’s be honest this is nowhere near fresh lemon grass!!! I use it as a spice rub mostly and it does the job but to get the tru flavor of lemongrass the best sub I have found is lemon grass essential oil.

Use it for soups when I can't get fresh lemongrass. Works quite well.

If the powder was ever part of a lemongrass plant, it was a long time ago and the flavors have dissipated. With a lot of goodwill, I could detect maybe a soupçon ... tossing it out!

Product is stale and old. No smell (scent to the lemongrass). No aroma.
