Excellent for CAD use, but a button fails after a few months. Good news is the warranty support is second to none.
I have medium-to-large hands and I use this mouse 40+ hours all day, every day, and it is very comfortable. My only gripe is in the location of the two side buttons. Sometimes I have to move my hand on the mouse to click them reliably, but this may be due to the way I hold my mouse. I use the first knuckle on my pointer finger to hit the small top button and my thumb and pinky fingers touching the mouse and mousepad for extremely precise movements. That way I can turn my sensitivity way up (using their app, not the windows setting because it works better for some reason) and I NEVER have to pick my mouse up and move it, or even move my forearm. I have a set-back grip on the mouse that is very comfortable for ME, but it just makes the side buttons tougher to click. Once you get one and play with it for a while, you will have your own tricks. And when it is paired with the mousepad from 3DConnexion, it glides like ice.The software available with the mouse is like nothing I have ever used before. Sure, the mouse looks like nothing special, but in reality the software is what sells the device for me. The radial menu is a life saver. It is smart enough to know which program you are in and changes button arrangements in the background. You can store four custom actions to the radial button and use a mouse movement after the click to select your action. There are specific actions for each program (Excel, AutoCAD, Windows Explorer, etc...) and an option to create your own macro. The macro feature is great, but the only drawback is I cannot find a way to create a pause or delay in the macro. Sometimes you have to be creative and use keyboard shortcuts. Either way, the flexibility of the software is excellent. I use it for Excel, Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Windows Explorer daily. You can even save your customization files as a backup so you never have to record or reconfigure settings again. The only problems I have had from the mouse is with the primary clicking button. I bought the mouse and the button was becoming unreliable, so I contacted the warranty department. This was only three months of heavy use later. They sent me out a brand new mouse and it arrived two days after I started the claim. All I had to do was sever the USB cable where it shows the serial number and send them a picture. That's it. Pretty easy. The second mouse lasted me seven months and I went through the process again. Again, it took two days to receive my mouse. I couldn't be happier. I was also told my the warranty support department that they are aware of the problem and will be sending a more "robust" device. But either way, the warranty is for two years and if it fails outside of that warranty period, I will without-a-doubt be ordering the same mouse ASAP. Once you get used to it, all other mouses either seem cheap or like something Batman would use (the ones that have like 20 buttons). These are elegant devices that can be as complicated as the user wants.

The best mouse I've used for CAD...
The one thing you need to get is that this IS A REALLY BIG MOUSE. The cordless model is slightly smaller. No lefties allowed. This mouse is contoured for a right hand.A true 3 button mouse. I didn't realize that I had gotten used to using two fingers with more common two button and a wheel button mice. A little retraining of my hand was required. It's best to use three fingers.I use this with AutoCAD. It works very well. The zoom in and zoom out buttons are great. The driver's command list probably need to be updated for AutoCAD 2018, but I really like the radial menus. All in all, I count this as a win. This is the best mouse I've used for cad. Almost as good as a digitizer. Only the old hands are going to remember digitizers. The makers of this seem to really get what CAD users need.

So far so good
been using this mouse for a couple days now - so far it seems to work well. Fairly comfortablE and uses the same driver as the other 3Dconnection mice (so if you have a the 3D mouse you will not need to install another driver for this mouse) I experienced a bit of hand fatigue after a few hours of continues usage - but that is to be expected. Eventually I will buy the mouse pad that is designed to go with it. Accurate seems good but have not tested it on anything that demanded perfect accuracy yet. Will update more as I continue using it. I do miss the wireless capability of my Logitech mouse but I understand the need for this mouse to be wired.\UPDATE: after about a weeks of usage I can say this mouse still seems very nice. However, the two forward and backward buttons that sit on the lift side of the mouse are just two close to my thumb and constantly get pressed by my thumb unintentionally. this is quite frustrating especially when i'm doing things like browsing the web and suddenly I'm thrown back a page...

A necessity for anyone involved in CAD, great for anyone who uses a computer all day.
This mouse is wonderful. I'm a mechanical engineer and bought this alongside the 3D mouse. The 3D mouse is fantastic, but this mouse is almost just as useful! One of the most important aspects you won't realize when buying this mouse, is that its incredible comfortable. My hand fits perfectly over the buttons, and the gliding feels great. I find myself using the 'forward' and 'reverse' buttons the most on web browsers to go back or forward a page, but they are nice for zooming in cad. I don't find myself using the 'menu' button very often, but the middle mouse click is life changing. It takes much less force to click the middle mouse click than the scroll wheel, so if you're in CAD software all day you will definitely notice much less strain on your hand. Another cool feature is the scroll acceleration which works great. The software allows you to tweak the mouse sensitivities to your preference, giving you more control than the standard PC options.

Disappointing life span
I really like this mouse, it couples nicely with the 3D space mouse, its great for all my cad work. The dedicated middle click button is great, fits nicely in my hand, the feel is great. However, I only had this mouse for 10 months or so and the left click button has failed me. I first noticed left click was not clicking and required more pressure in order to activate it. Now I click it once and it triggers 2 left clicks. Its incredibly annoying and causes lots of trouble during my work. I stopped using it and went to a cheap mouse until I find a replacement. For the price of this mouse I truly expected more than what I received in regards to longevity. Sad part is my coworker had already tried this mouse and experienced the exact same issues, but I wanted to try it myself since the 3D space mouse from the same company works great. I hope the company can fix this issue and release a 2.0 mouse or something more reliable. At this point in time, I don't recommend this mouse, mainly do to its life span. If the mouse would live longer, it would be one of the best mouses I've ever used.
