Seemingly stronger signal provides slower/unstable Wi-Fi connection
I gave it two stars just to give credit to their tech support team. After using this router for a few hours, I have to return it because of the following reasons.1. Its signal strength is not as advertised. The key selling point of this brand is "High Power", which is supposed to have better coverage. However, after I did a side-by-side comparison with the ASUS RT-AC68, I found some interesting results. The Amped Wireless router did appear to have stronger signal strength in term of RSSI, however in real world testing its data rate is lower. In other words, you got more bars in your Wi-Fi signal gauge, but you also got a slower Wi-Fi connection. WTF?2. What is worse, it's seemingly strong Wi-Fi signal is unstable, causing frequent Wi-Fi disconnection when I am far away from the router. Again, as a side-by-side comparison, when I'm on my bed (far awary from the router), the signal strength I got from the ASUS router is about -88dBm, but it's very stable and I could even watch YouTube video (not in HD quality). However, when I use the Amped Wireless router, despite the signal strength I got is -85dBm (3dB stronger than the ASUS one), my cellphone was disconnected every minute or so -- making my Wi-Fi completely useless.3. The router software is buggy. This router has a nice feature of "Guest Networks". I'm not sure whether this is my individual problem, but the unit I got can only broadcast Guest Network SSIDs -- my own home network never works. After I contacted tech support, they instructed me to return to product. Their support team is good: professional, friendly, responsive. That's the only reason I gave 2 stars for this review.

Devices will NOT connect via WIFI
Avoid this router like the plague. All seemed fine initially but after a few months random devices started not to want to connect via WIFI, first the Apple TV, then the iPads and now not a single device will connect via WIFI. Tried the standard troubleshooting, reset device, etc. but what's most telling is that this company hasn't released firmware for this device for more than TWO years! Which means this is no longer supported and clearly there are issues with the hardware that aren't being addressed.

Wasted about a year testing several Amped units along side other brands and models.
In the last year this was 4th or 5th amped model I have thoroughly tested in our 4200sq ft, 2 story home that has failed to stably operate or even install completely without fail or freeze up during install several times. I am surprised to be another "statistic" showing that they done seem to be solid equipment for residential use. I have gone with other units from other brands. Yes their customer support was very good but, something is definately wrong with the products stamina. I even tested one Amped unit via retail big box store, thankfully their return policy was akin to Amazons.

Amazing range, great speed, flawless connection
After researching for the past few months and trying some different routers, I finally decided to give this model a shot. I've never owned an Amped router before, so I was slightly skeptical at first. Any doubts I had were quickly resolved. The package was delivered about 15 minutes before I was leaving to go to work for the day, and I was able to quickly set up the router with all my personalized settings and was able to perform many speed and range tests in that small time-frame. I previously had used comparable style routers and modem/router combos from Arris, Netgear, TPLink, DLink, and Linksys, but none compare to the speed, range, and quality of connection I have been able to bring out of the router couple with a Zoom 5341 cable modem I also purchased at the time of this order. I am a Time Warner Cable subscriber on their 30 Mbps broadband plan, and every speed test I performed in the various rooms of my house and around my yard showed at least 25 Mbps consistently, even a couple hundred feet away from the router location! I am a big fan of this product. I have no problems with gaming and streaming services running on multiple devices simultaneously.

Great Home Wireless Router
For what this is, a home router, it is very nice. Construction is solid, and capabilities are great. Setup was a breeze and speeds are great. There are some more granular features that I'd like to have, like changing the local host name, disabling USB port functions, and I'm not terribly fond of rebooting after making certain changes. With that said, I wanted a fast router at a good price and this serves that function brilliantly.

Good router, good power, strong signal
This router is pretty good. The power output is amazing at 800mW, and the LED lights can be turned off so it can go in a bedroom without blasting the room with light. Decent software features, though somewhat limited, but for my purpose its just fine. I use it for in-home wifi, so I don't need anything too drastic. The only issue I've run into is that my modem and the router will fall out of sync and cause an unstable internet. This is easily remedied though, but unplugging both. Wait about 30 seconds, plug in your modem and let it come all the way up. Then plug in your router and let it come up afterwards. This resolved my issue with that, and the router has worked flawlessly after that.

Doesn't work
I just wasted an entire afternoon trying to make this router work. That included several long chat sessions with Amped tech support that I conducted by reconnecting my old Netgear router multiple times as well as a call to my service provider. (the Netgear plugged in and played repeatedly on the same configuration, cables, etc. with no problem.)After all that it was concluded that I had gotten a lemon.I'm sending it back and looking for another brand.
