SunBusters Girls Swim Shorts 12 mos - 12 yrs, UPF 50+ Sun Protection

I bought these for my two girls who are 8 and 10. They like to wear shorts for swim but the traditional ones we found at the store were causing a rash in the thigh when they were wet. So I thought they needed something a little longer. These worked perfectly. I ordered an 8-10 for both of them and they fit them both. The short was just a little shorter on my 10 year old but still a good length. I would have liked them to have a liner but the girls said it was fine without one. They fit pretty tight similar to leggings.

I really wanted to love this product and unfortunately I don't. I have been searching high and low for a reasonably priced pair of swim shorts for my 7 year old. I want her to be able to play at the beach in the sand and not have to worry about her getting sand where the sun don't shine like the bikini style bottoms. These shorts had everything going for it, style, price, length and waist size were spot on. However they are unlined and the big fat bulky cross-seam in the crotch would irritate my daughter more than sand would. All they have to do is add a small panty liner piece of fabric and they'd be golden. Now, you could wear bikini bottoms underneath this and combo them together but that unfortunately seems to defeat the purpose for me. So, off to find a lined version!

Both of my nine yr old kids (sister/brother twins) love these swim shorts. There's not much difference between the ones labeled for girls and those for boys, other than colors. My kids are athletic and muscular so we size up to keep them comfortable in snug-fit swimwear. We didn't buy these for competitive sports and were happy to find the shorts don't chafe even when worn a big looser than this style of swim bottoms is often worn. They're well-made and hold up nicely to pool chlorine, ocean salt and repeated washing. I just wish they came in larger sizes. At 9 yrs old my kids are wearing the size 11/12.

These are great. We had a pair for my daughter the last couple of years and had to move up a size this year. They do seem to run a little small and the 6/7 fit my 5 year old now. She wears mostly 5/6 in regular pant and shorts. But really good quality and she likes them. She also has a top that seemed to run bigger comparatively. She will continue to wear the top in size 4/5. She wore it as well before but the arms always needed to be rolled up (long sleeve top) and now it seems to fit perfectly. Odd

My daughter is 4 but has a full bottom, I bought size 6-7 and they fit comfortably around her waist and bottom, and a little loose above the knee, as she likes. These with a rash guard top are perfect for summer days at preschool when they have sprinkler activities. I just need to put sunscreen on her face, hands and lower legs instead of slathering her all over, which makes getting into regular clothes afterwards much easier. The price is also the best around as some shorts go for $29 for a small child! I just ordered a second pair.

We try to keep our granddaughters protected from the sun. That usually just meant a swim shirt, but we noticed that the strap of their life jacket (that goes between the legs) was chaffing them. We got these pants as protection. I do think they run a tad large. Swim shirts and pants usually need to be snug, so they don't billow in the water; however, I think we'll get two seasons of wear out of these, and that isn't a bad thing!

We have ordered these before and have continued to order as the girls get older. They like to wear bottoms underneath because when wet, they feel a bit tight. Otherwise these are great in the sand and especially at water parks. May run a tad small but mostly true to size. My daughter is about 100lbs and she likes these. Color and pattern are great. Shipping was quick.
