Motorcraft Spout

Easy to use and good quality. Worth the money spent.

This has a Motorcraft (Ford) part number, but I use it on my 2018 Mercedes Sprinter. I had to trim about 3/4" off the end of the plastic pour spout to get the seal to fit against the neck of the DEF tank. The front of my 4x4 Sprinter is up there, so this really helps to get the fluid safely and neatly into the filler neck with no spilling, no splashing or over-filling. I have used it several times now with excellent results, no problems, and find it to be very helpful in avoiding spills. Recommended!

Item screws on easily and has fit several different non motorcraft def brand jugs I have used. Item works as it should and stops the fluid from pouring in when the tank is full to prevent spills. Would but again.

I typically fill up DEF at the pumps, but occasionally fill up from the boxes. Some of them will drip a little, however, the boxes usually leak where the nozzle screws onto the jug so the DEF gets on my hands. Also, the pumps sometimes overfill the tank, which then spills out onto the side of the truck. So, I figured I would give this MC Spout a try. The claim is that it won't overfill and it shouldn't leak... although I have heard that some jugs don't fit well. I guess I will see... but, it would be nice if they would include these with the jugs of DEF.

Discovered this OEM Ford part on the Turbo Diesel Forum online community, a community of Ram Diesel truck owners. Maybe the best $10 I ever spent. This nozzle is properly vented, unlike the freebie nozzles that come with a box of DEF. It also has a gasket between the truck filler and the nozzle so no more gusher of DEF on the paint if you try to put 3 gallons of DEF into a tank with only 2 gallons capacity remaining.Even comes with a re-closeable plastic bag for storage.Buy it!

Then the hose cracked. I bought this back in October 2019 in anticipation of needing it to refill my DEF tank. I used it to add 2.5 gal of DEF a couple of months ago. Last week (3rd week of April 2020) I attempted to use this filler again to top off the DEF tank. I noticed that it was leaking. I wound up using the included spout to complete the job.I contacted Amazon who then referred me to the vendor for a refund or replacement. The vendor asked for a photograph; I sent two. They clearly show where the hose failed.The vendor then sent me an email stating that since it was purchased in October 2019 they couldn't do anything.The product did the job but it was only good for one shot.Vendor was useless as well.

The price is average, but the gasket isn't very effective. I made sure the nozzle was screwed on straight, but the gasket leaked when I tilted the DEF jug. I'm going to have to find a better gasket than the one supplied with this Chinese piece of crap.

A must for putting in DEF cleanly! Fits ford motorcraft 2.5 gal jugs.
