We needed a dress for my daughter’s 8th grade dance. She knew she wanted the dress to be hunter green and that’s all I had to go on. I showed her many dresses and this is the one she chose. We ordered a small. She is 5’6” and 105 lbs and it fit perfectly. The sewn in solid green slip underneath hit 2” above her knees and the lace overlay was to her knees. The back of the dress is the highlight and has beautiful pleats at the waist and the hem shapes in a soft V down the back that hit right at the back of her ankles. The neckline isn’t revealing and has great coverage. The front and back have see-through lace from the top of her chest, reaching up to the collarbone and in the back the lace goes lower but the solid green part of the dress covers a bra strap so a strapless bra is possible. Perfect fit and appropriate length for a 14 yo. The details of this dress, and the pretty lace is unbelievably well made for a $45 dress! She said it was comfortable and easy to dance in. She told me she received so many compliments on her dress! She noticed all the other girls were wearing short, tight dresses in bright colors which made her dress a standout among a sea of cookie cutter dresses. Don’t hesitate! It’s a classy dress for any age!

This dress is very pretty... on the right person. I bought this dress to attend a wedding, and while I did like the dress, I wish I would have had time to find something more fitting for my body type.SIZINGFor reference, I am 5'1" and weigh 145lbs and have a 34DDD(F) or in some cases a 34G chest. I wasn't sure if a Large or X-large would fit best, but according to the size chart, and after measuring my chest (40 inches around) I went with the X-large, even though my frame is relatively small, I wanted the chest to fit the best.CHESTThe XL was very comfortable in the chest, is on the stretchy side and there was even enough room for me to wear a strapless and lightly padded bra that I wore with clear bra straps (you definitely want clear straps with this dress if you wear a bra). The XL did fit me well in chest area, but if I lose any weight (even 5-10lbs) in the future, this dress will probably be too big for me. I honestly wonder if the large size would have suited me better in the long run. The top is not see-through at all, I wore a black bra with it and you couldn't see it through the material.WAISTI was hoping that this dress would be smaller in the waist area, and offer more of a hourglass type of fit like it appears in the photos. I am not curvy whatsoever and have a small frame (besides my chest) and I felt like this dress just made my stomach/hips look big because it didn't hug my small frame at all. I looked like a 5 foot tall rectangle. Also, the waist band is way too high. The waist band sat about 3 inches below my boobs.. which is definitely not my waist. The waist band was actually the first thing my boyfriend pointed out to me when I tried the dress on. He doesn't know anything about dresses but he knew the waist band didn't look right.LENGTHBeing only 5'1", I was very worried about the back part of the dress touching/dragging on the floor like others have said. However, my dress JUST touched the floor and didn't drag while barefoot. I wore heels at the wedding so the length was perfect for me.OTHERThe lace is very soft and kind of stretchy. The bottom slip is also very silky feeling. The dress did have a factory like smell to it when I took it out of the package. The smell wasn't pleasant so I aired it out for a couple days, but at least it was obvious it was new so it wasn't a big deal. The dark red color was slightly brighter than I assumed it would be, but still worked for the purpose. I have to admit, I have pretty flexible arms, but there is no way I could zip up the back of this dress myself! Make sure you have someone who can zip up the back for you, unless you're a contortionist. This dress was also very airy and cool for a hot July wedding, definitely a appreciated feature.I would recommend this dress to anyone who doesn't have the struggle of having very large breasts and a small frame. If your dimensions match mine, then most likely whatever size you get; the chest will fit you but the rest will be too big, or the chest will be way too small but it will fit your frame. If you have a D cup or smaller than I would think this dress would look great on you.

Had to order twice because the first one that Amazon recommended based on my measurements was too small. The second one fits but the seam is in a weird spot. It is soft and light and breathable. It looks nice on me but I doubt I’d wear it again after the wedding it was bought for.
