Great Bible 👍
I got this as a study bible and it's good for personal reading and biblical study. This version uses Formal equivalence translation(Word for Word translation) and it is a must have if you're interested in Bible Study and want a more literal meaning of the Scriptures from the original language.A Good must have Bible for everyone!

Good quality printing and binding
Good quality printing and binding. Very good typesetting and fonts. The reference maps given in the last section helps the reader to see the history unfolding as pages unfold. Ignatius Bible is hard to find in local stores. I'm happy with my purchase.

Love it! + Why use RSV-2CE?
The Douay-Rheims Bible might be the most accurate translation. But I have a hard time comprehending it because of its archaic English usage. I don't get the nuances of old English. Therefore, even if DR is super-accurate, I'm unable to benefit from that accuracy. In fact, I find myself focusing more on the literary nuances in my attempt to grasp the meaning. Therefore, I decided to use a translation that uses standard English. However, I believe that many recent translations are trying to make the Bible "cool" and "acceptable". Finally, I decided to go with the RSV-2CE and bought this beautiful Bible! (Pics attached)The Didache Bible, the Great Adventure Catholic Bible (by Ascension Press), and the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible also use RSV-2CE.The RSV-2CE is known for its formal equivalence. It is a word-for-word translation that safeguards literal fidelity. In some translations, Mother Mary is referred as "virgin" in Isaiah 7:14. In others, as "young woman". In Luke 1:28, some translations say "full of grace" while others say "favored one". Actually, none of these are technically incorrect. (To know why, check online resources like Catholic Answers.) It's pretty hard to translate unique, uncommon word usage.Hope this helped someone who was as confused as me. :)

Best bible for Catholics
Best quality bible...both the translation and the material used. The texts used are somewhat similar to NKJ version bible but more precise in this bible (RSV2ndCEd)

Must have bible
I hesitated for a few months to buy this bible because - do I really need another bible? I was in search of a portable Catholic Bible that I could see (I am blind as a bat) and was bigger than the 6 or 7 size font available. I settled on the GNT Catholic Bible which is a great bible, excellent font and cute pictures but it was too thick to carry. So I bit the bullet and went with this bible after noticing the number of pages was less than the "portable" GNT Catholic Bible. This Bible does not disappoint. The leather is nice, the font is clear and crisp - absolutely readable and I like the creamy colored paper. The paper is thicker than most bibles which is nice. It is very portable so I can bring it with me everywhere I go. I love it!

Way better than expected! Highly recommended
I own many Bibles, and this is easily one of the best in my collection now. I own a couple Cambridge Bibles that are only a bit nicer quality than this and they cost me 2-3x more! The paper quality is very nice and the leather is soft and flexible. In addition, the gold page gilding looks great and I like having 2 ribbons. The Bible was printed in the USA which surprised me for the low price range. This Bible is not super portable in size, but it's not as heavy as I expected either. It makes an excellent study & prayer Bible and it's not filled with too much commentary or notes. The RSV-CE 2nd Ed translation is excellent. Very readable, not as politically correct like the NRSV. It re-affirms Catholic dogmas/beliefs and makes excellent textual clarifications on many key verses in the scriptures (Luke 1:28, Isaiah 7:14, etc). You also get all of the Catholic books and traditional ordering of the books and Psalms and any removed chapters have been included (ex: chapters from Book of Daniel). The only thing I wish this Bible had would be a section or pages that included common prayers. This would have been nice for devotional reasons, but it's not the end of the world. I would recommend that every reader learn "Lectio Divina" and you will love this Bible for sure.Overall, I would highly recommend this Bible. It's simple and no frills. The full Catholic OT & NT with a brief introduction and minimal commentary/notes throughout so you can really focus on the scriptures. It is really as good as it gets if you just want a pure Catholic Bible!

Good quality
I'm very happy with the quality and how pretty the cover is, the pages are quite thin as expected from a book this size. I enjoy reading it a lot (plus it has that nice "new book" smell)

My first Bible!
I really anticipated getting my hands on this Bible, afterall its my first. As you can tell, I am quite new when it comes to these but I can tell you this Bible is beautiful and I can’t wait to indulge in God’s words as soon as possible! This Bible is not meant to be compact so it is definitely on the heavier side. The pages are thin but it does not leave much ghosting. I am ok with the translation, either way, I will be using other resources to help me study this Bible. What matters to me most is that it is a Catholic translation. The only doubts I had when I did a brief scan of this Bible was the first page of Introduction where the beginning of its sentence seemed off, as if there were words missed out. The font for its footnotes are too small but it is still readable upon close viewing. Despite these, I'm not bothered. The delivery also took just 2 days to reach my doorstep! Overall, I am happy with my purchase so far.
