Thin sheets of cheap pine.
No mention of the thickness of these so I will answer that one for you. 8.15mm or 0.32" of pine.They ship in an ENVELOPE and came damaged...However, I know that they were damaged when they left the packing facility, because the damage was facing inward between the two slabs.So when I flipped the first sheet over, it had a nice gouge in it on the protected side of the wood.I could easily bend and snap these if I wanted to, they flex and feel very flimsy and bend with simple pressure from holding them between forefinger and thumb and bending gently, I can bow the wood...These are very cheap and thin... I don't know where the "Strong durable quality!" comes into play as featured in the images of this item, as it is not even a laminate.Thinner than I expected, I will TRY these, luckily I am using them for prototyping something and expected to damage them anyway.However, If I were genuinely looking for a base for a project, I would be sorely disappointed, even now I'm pretty disenchanted.

A bit on the thin side, but workable.
I should have read the description a bit closer. I didn't realize that the plaques would be as thin as they were. At first I thought I would just glue them together, but they were thin enough that they had warped a bit and wouldn't lay flat together. Still, they will do what I need them to do!

solid but thin
Wood is solid but disc is VERY thin. I was going to use it as plaque that would hold a 3 dimensional piece. Due to thinness I am hesitatant to put much weight on it. For price I guess I should not have expected more, but ty are thin and should not be used if anything of weight is going to be mounted on it

Too Thin
The finish and wood quality are just OK, but the thickness, unless you want a really thin plaque, is way too thin. May be OK for light, indoor project. Would not weather well outside, even heavily varnished. Seller should list thickness as part of description.

Although these plaques were not used for what they were intended, they did become VERY USEFUL with another project. Thank you so much

Way too thin for a substantial wall mount.
I bought these thinking I would use them for mounting a small set of antlers. I needed something about 1/2 - 3/4 inches thick. These looked fine online and I wrongly assumed they would be sufficiently thick so I was quite surprised and disappointed when they arrived and it became apparent they were so thin - only 5/16 inch thick. Mine arrived in good shape, not significantly dented as some others mentioned. I do suggest the seller put the thickness in the description so people can ascertain the thickness before they order.

These are very different than the ones from 2018!
I hit the reorder button for these. My first order was from Dec 2018. These are the same size and shape. But definitely NOT the same. These are very light, guessing they are hollow or half air. The ones from 2018 are actually wood. I'm going to keep them. (making hand print decorations on them) But had I known how different these were, I would have shopped more. I never guessed that you could sell a different product on the "reorder".

Good for wood burning projects. Somewhat rough around the edges.
Good for wood burning projects. Nice grain. A bit rough around the edges, but easy to sand this out to get a smoother edge.
