Brer RabbitBlackstrap Molasses 12oz Glass Bottle (Pack of 6)

Please note: I am referring only to the "Purple" edged labeled Brer Rabbit Molasses. This product has kept me from having to have knee surgery.....so far. As for my dog Sadie, in October of 2011, she went down and refused to get up.....so much pain. I tried bribing Vets in the area to please make a house call as I couldn't move her myself. They basically said she would probably have to be "Put Down". Desperate, I & wife began researching old remedies and luckily she found out that cooked down molasses, black strap, is good for aches & pains.....BINGO!!!! We mixed 1 tsp Syrup with 1 Tbsp peanut butter and took it to Sadie about dark time. The next morning frisky Sadie was on the front porch eager for her breakfast......simply a God given miracle!!!! It's now mid February 2013 and Sadie is still frisky @ age 12! Since the initial episode, she has had one relapse.....our fault! We were lax in giving her the molasses. We now religiously give her a dose every two weeks...... and weekly when it's going to be real cold. As for me, my football knee no longer forecasts the weather as long as I take a sip of the syrup at least every other day......another miracle!!!!Note: I order "Brer Rabbit Blackstrap Molasses" from Amazon because stores in my area do not carry it for some reason. Probably because it ain't that great on buscuits. Anyway, a six bottle carton doesn't occupy much storage space.

I have to wonder about the leadership of this company. There's a review here from 2007 complaining about no safety seal and obviously no one at the company with the power to change that thinks it's a big deal. I bought this at my local grocery store. When I got home and opened it without the lid popping, I took it right back to the store and got my money back. I was going to call the company but there is no phone number on the label. Get this--it says if you have questions or comments about the product to WRITE to them. Ok, sure. Bet they don't get many questions or comments...which apparently is how they like it.

In fairness to the product itself, I did taste it and it does taste good. However, I couldn't get over the fact that there was no safety seal or tamper evident seal. I know I'm probably too paranoid, but in this day and age I like to see some type of safety seal on products I'm going to consume. I think that there should at least be a button that pops up when you open the bottle. But that's just me. The order came in 6 bottles. I didn't return them, because the next buyer would have absolutely no evidence that I opened one of the bottles. So it's a loss to me. Oh well, I guess it's one of the risks of ordering from the internet, not being able to inspect the packaging before purchase.

I take a tbsp. every morning for my health. i just wish the lid was sealed when I bought it.

I have tased a variety of molasses brands over the years , and Brer Rabit is definitely the best . I use it to make BBQ sauce and baked beans. For gingerbread cookies and other dishes, I prefer the Dark version of Brer Rabbit , rather then the Bladkstrap . My dog also loves Blackstrap Brer Rabbit molasses. The only way she will eat dry dog food is if it has 1 tablespoon of molasses stirred in.

Blackstrap Molasses is sought for its natural Calcium, Iron, Potassium, and Magnesium ingredients. It is as valuable as a food as much as it is a sweetener. Brer Rabbit has the highest content of these than any other brand I've used. Great taste! I'm using it in everything from my coffe, tea and oatmeal to müsli and tomato pasta sauce. I even eat a spoonful of it when I want a nutritional energy boost. Arrived in perfect condition. No outer seal as other reviewers mentioned. It didn't appear to be tampered with and there was no leakage from any of the bottles.Highly recommend.

Brer Rabbit is one of the premiere brands of blackstrap molasses. It is said to have medicinal healing powers, including returning gray hair back to it's original color. Not much else you can say about it. It makes great molasses cookies.
