Why do they have a short cable instead of attaching to the Quest2 like buiot in headphones? Too much trouble to take on and off

I am not sure. I have zero issues with the short cable. It allows me the space I need to use the headset but not so long that i get wrapped up in it, run over it and it gets tangled. Its a nice size for me.
