Works a Treat
Tried it with potatoes, sweet potatoes and carrots. All nicely cut into neat squares. All you have to do is cut the items i to sensible chunks and square the front and back as per instructions, works perfectly. Only time it failed was attempt no 1 being user error and not reading the instructions.

Nice, helpful gadget
Was a little skeptical after reading some reviews saying it doesn’t chip spuds without a lot of force but I found it to be ok, they gave me the wrong instruction link, took me to the “spiralizer” but it’s not rocket science so it was easy to figure out, suction cup wasn’t great but chips came out banging so I’m happy.

Solidly built and works fine within it's limitations!
This chipper works very well as long as you are sensible and don't abuse it with potatoes that are too large or sweet potatoes which are completely raw and too large! You cannot cut large potatoes as the machine is too small to take them, but if they are cut down to the optimum size and if sweet potatoes are microwaved for a couple of minutes after being peeled and cut to size the machine does a good job with both sized cutting blades. Some reviews say the rubber suction does not work, again it's just a case of having the lever in the correct position on a suitable smooth surface, I find that the lever needs to be pointing backwards and then brought all the way forward when a consistent grip is easy to obtain.Cleaning is easy also, for the reasonable cost the chipper is pleasant to use and works well.

Great little time saver!
I am willing to bet that most of the people who say they found this broke first time they used it, or that you have to thump it to get a potato through made the same mistake as I did. The manufacturer would do well to put a couple of simple diagrams on the sheet of A4 paper they put in the box, rather than just a qr code to take you to the instructions online. The device is too simple for most people think it necessary to go to that effort. But, before I realised how the cutting blades are meant to lock in to place, the first potato I put in it rose upwards as I pushed the handle down. This sent the blades upwards and meant the potato was pushing against the blades' frame. At this point it became very hard to push because the frame wouldn't cut through the potato. A lot of force made for some progress and I was tempted to try thumping but realised the blades were bending and didn't want to break them. With the blades correctly locked in they can't move and the potato goes through with not a lot of effort. I have used it a few times now and it saves a lot of time. I would say that the plastic piece that pushes the potato could be better shaped to push the chips all the way out of the blades, I do sometimes have to pull them out by hand. The suction cup on the bottom doesn't work on a wooden worktop, unsurprisingly, but I don't find it needs to be fixed down. The cutting pressure is applied downwards and it is not like I need to be wrestling with it.

Blades ain't sharp enough, only gave it one star because giving it zero stars wasn't an option
This product is terrible, it is not fit for purpose, the blades are nowhere near sharp enough and the potato just gets stuck and literally have to hammer the handle down the get them unstuck

It's fair, not impeccable
I bought it a couple of days ago, delivery was good...it does the job, however for small potatoes works best. For normal size potatoes you have to work hard to cut it and there's always something left at the end unless you have another potato...I tried with both pushers, the result is generally the same.. but a good tool overall, I will use it, I will not return it.

Great retro chipper
Had this for a year or so. Very retro style product. Works brilliantly. Very robust and easy to use and clean. Gets used frequently. Ideal big chips and fries. Don't put oversized potatoes into it! Need to trim them as the instructions to prevent personal harm or product damage! Then this works brilliantly.Has a strong suction disc to the base, and the different size chipper inserts are easy to install and remove.Very easy to keep clean.Cannot fault it. Great addition to our kitchen.
