Premium quality, surprisingly good rgb
I wasn't sure what to expect when buying this keyboard as I'd never bought a keyboard in this price range before. The build quality overall is very good premium feel to it as you would expect from a brand like Corsair. The keys have a really nice, almost matte finish to the and the MX switches are so much better than I expected, surprisingly quiet for a mechanical keyboard it almost feels like membrane but obviously they're mechanical. They're super responsive with a nice tactile feeling and I'm making far less typos than I was.One thing I was pleasantly surprised by is the RGB lighting, it has a nice muted glow to it that doesn't torture your eyes, perfect for late night sessions. I do hate the icue software though, it's a pile of rubbish but the hardware is solid.Would definitely recommend this if you're looking for your first mechanical keyboard or you don't want something that's too clicky.

Excellent all rounder
Great mechanical keyboard, the offset wire works really well with my setup because I have a central monitor bar for my two monitors so cable management is much nicer. The volume dial is the main feature I bought this keyboard and the mechanical switches are not too loud and the typing feedback is excellent.

Nice keyboard but still multiple key press bugs even today
While it is a very nice gaming keyboard - if you want to lock yourself out of log-in screens due to keyboard sending duplicate keypresses - then get it! ;) Unfortunately as with other reviews, even after latest firmware, iCue updates, settings, etc. - it stil does it and I wish I sent it back.In fairness, once you're logged in and iCue works it does not do it that much - but the initial Windows log-in screen is a nightmare! You need to press the "show password" to make sure there are no duplicated keys or you're going to be locked out. Unless you want to double-bluff and actually have a password with duplicated letters (e.g. AAbbbCCCCddddd...) that might be far harder to crack as nobody would think of cracking something like that ;))Positives - it integrates nicely with other Corsair RGB stuff like mice, fans, memory, etc. - and does allow nice RGB effects if that is your pleasure. It is always easier to go with devices from a single manufacturer for one PC - perhaps go with a different manufacturer for another PC - as otherwise you end up running way too many similar programs doing similar things and bloating/slowing things down. For gaming it is fast and the included palm-rest (magnetic attach) does help. The RGB illumination is not bad - not top of the range but decent - and as I mentioned it does integrate nicely. So please try another keyboard if settled on Corsair - I do like their products (mice, memory, fans, PSUs) but this keyboard - especially seeing other reviews - should be recalled.

Inexpensive, mechnical with iCue
As a fan of the Corsair gear in general, this one was a panic buy when I decided to throw wine all over my K70 Mk2.What I will say is this keyboard is not as good as the Mk2, although given the price difference I guess this is to be expected. The keys have a tendency to double-type when you are not hooked up to iCue on the latest firmware - meaning logging in can be an issue. Forcfully re-updating the firmware did help alleviate this a little, although it does still do it on occasion - so will loose a star on this basis. Once iCue is up and running, the problem disappears. I prefer the mech keys on the mk2 aswell, although this is subjective. If this issue does happen to you, there is a way of 'resetting' this keyboard (and other Corsair keybaords) that not many people know about, which can help you. Our favourite search engine will find the how-to on their website with ease. That said its a good keyboard with a good feel, and as I have now repaired my Mk2, I will be keeping this as a backup for the next drink-induced-disaster I occasion on. Like I said I have always preferred Corsair gear, and have had nothing but a positive experience with them, or their customer service (replacing keys on my Mk2 cost me nothing, even out of warranty - which not many manufacturers will do.If this is your first keyboard from Corsair or even a mech, you will not be disappointed. The lighting options in iCue alone are endless!

Excellent keyboard for the price.
Really good keyboard for the price. Keys feel great, click is not too loud and the lighting doesn't drive me crazy either. Comes with a palm rest, which I wasn't expecting. Excellent purchase and very much recommended.

Great keyboard K70 CoreExcellent RGBAnd I haven't had any double press issues as some reviews suggest.I did update the firmware using icue and no issues at all.Not very loud when typing but is a nice premium feel to it.Very good.

You NEED to open iCue to have this keyboard working.
If you don't have iCue open, this keyboard double types and malfunctions entirely. Good luck typing in your password or pin to even open iCue!This keyboard is the worst thing you can do to yourself, it's not a defective keyboard, it's Corsair themselves. Their software is simply the worst thing coded. If you think you can get away with it by getting support from Corsair, you must be having a laugh. They'll reply to you 2 weeks later and tell you to do the most basic things "have u tried turning it on and off" Cheers mate never thought of that. Was worth the 2 week waitAgain, never get this keyboard. Never get anything from corsair unless its RAM, PSU, or even a computer case. Everything else SUCKS.
