I'm trying use this for box braids how many would I need?

Personally, I have a pretty small head so I was able to only use 2 full packs and most of a 3rd one, leaving 2 full packs left! My braids weren’t big; more like a medium size!

As a general rule I wash all braiding hair before I use it. Some companies bathe their hair in a base that is very alkaline, that's what causes the itching. So I can honestly say after washing it, it did not itch. I love it.

Does this hair seal when dipped?

You have to dip it twice in boiling hot water and it will seal but be very careful because you can burn yourself when the water is that hot

I plan on getting goddess braids up into a ponytail. Normally about 9 braids, how many packs would i need?

Just imagine about 2 1/2packs of this hair equates to what you would purchase of a regular pack of black n gold hair. So if, you used about 2-3 packs of black n gold hair, you will need about 6-7 packs of this hair. I would recommend mixing it with the beauty supply hair, so you don't have to spend so much, because this hair is very bright.
