Great for seedlings
I've never used this before but we're relandscaping our backyard and I have several dozen perennial seedling to transplant into 1 gal biodegradable bags. I put all 6 bricks in the wheel barrow with about 6 inches of water. It was perfect. I did mix with planting mix as well. Another couple of weeks and I can transplant into the ground. I plan on ordering more for the next round of seedlings.

Junk
This is not (all) coco peat. We had trouble getting it to expand, so we started digging through the blocks and inside was miscellaneous grass clippings, bits of glitter, fabric fibers. There is no reasonable way to return this item because it is basically dirt and you have to wet it down before you find out it doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money.

Unbelievable how coir expands!
I put 2 bricks in a 5 gallon bucket, add about 2 gallons of water and leave over night or out in the sun for several hours. After that, I break up the bricks as much as possible with a shovel or trowel and add more water, if needed. 2 bricks will fill the bucket about 3/4 full. Incredible how compacted the coir is! Much easier to carry a couple of these bricks to where they're needed than lugging heavy bags around! Really glad to have discovered these!
