Wonderful Blending Product for Pastels
I use Faber-Castell Pitt Oil Pastel pencils, and have had some issues with blending, particularly for backgrounds. I found a suggestion online that a colorless blending product could be used. I ordered this, and found it to be excellent. I have also used q tips, facial tissue, and blending brushes, and I have found that this product, used with blending brushes for pan pastels, works very, very well.I'm very pleased with this.

This stuff makes painting with Pan Pastels almost like painting with oils- it goes on so smooth and allows blending easily- Not much more to say other than it will extend use of your pan pastels which helps

essential, transparent medium for Pan Pastels (and other dry pastels)
This is essential for anyone who has Pan Pastels (or any pastels, really)- it's basically like a "clear" Pan Pastel and allows you to extend and "pull" an application of Pan Pastel without making the color lighter or darker. For instance, if you lay down a line of blue Pan Pastel on your paper, you can then drag some of this right on top and it will allow you to cover twice as much area without dimming the color. I use it a lot to create transparent colors with Pan Pastels and other dry pastel sticks I have in my art supply collection. It also works as a way to get am ombre/faded look, and is a wonderful way to blend colors adjacent to one another without actually *mixing* the colors, so you don't get any muddy grays/browns from mixing colors that are complementary.

A must have for blending PanPastel colors to keep their vibrancy
This blending medium is excellent and will keep the colors you blended true to their vibrancy and not leave them dull or chalky. I highly recommend if you are going to use PanPastels, which are excellent btw, you need to have this.
