Simple, quick upgrade for an ageing mid-2012 MacBook Air
We have a mid-2012 MacBook Air 11" (model number A1465) which left the factory with a 64Gb SSD. This was just about adequate when new, but a decade later doesn't quite measure up - especially as the MacBook is now in the hands of a game-playing youngster with little appreciation for preserving disk space. This 250Gb SSD was a straight swap for the original, the process being very simple indeed and taking about 15 minutes max. The laborious part was having to clone the original drive; this too was simple albeit a little time consuming. I used a free download of Carbon Copy Cloner to backup everything to a USB thumb drive, swapped the SSDs, then used Carbon Copy Cloner again to restore from USB to the new drive. Simple and effective. The result is an older MacBook with a new lease of life. It seems very quick again, like new really, and of course has lots of available disk space once more. A well recommended replacement SSD for your mid-2012 MacBook Air.

Perfect!
Installed in my 2012 MBAir. Worked perfectly, performed a fresh OS install and my Mac’s back to full health. SSD’s fast and as expected. Price was good too.
