This is not a bad wee stand and appears to hold my laptop fairly securely at the Second notch position leaving the keyboard resting at about a 30 degree angle. Much more comfortable to type in this position. It also comes with a fabric storage bag if you need to collapse and store it for transportation.It has protective pads on the bottom of the stand and also on the top so you should manage to avoid damaging your worktop or indeed, your laptop. My only issue would be the top pads that make contact with the front of the laptop are not really "sticky" enough to stop the laptop occasionally slipping out. I have added a small amount of non-slip material to those two points and that has sorted the issue.At first I didn`t think the stand would be sturdy enough and was waiting for some "wobbling" whilst typing but once you pull it out and place the notches in the appropriate holes it becomes a stable stand.Worth it for the money if you are looking for a cheap stand. No rattling or movement whilst typing.

My biggest bugbear is poor design, so it was an absolute joy to receive this laptop riser stand!It arrived in a compact carry bag, handy for travel, and is set up in seconds by simply expanding it horizontally and inserting the two supporting arms in a choice of six notches to suit the height required, similar to a seaside deckchair. The Aluminium construction means it is strong enough to support an MS Studio Laptop, which is 15" and weighs 4lbs (1.8kg).I use it on a mobile table, but find that if I have the keyboard in the best position, the screen is too low, which gives me a pain in the neck when working for several hours at a time; raising the adjustable table means the keyboard is then way too high for comfort. This new stand solves both problems easily - I now have the screen at eye level and the keyboard is tilted at an angle that I can see and use easily.This is one of the best accessories I have bought in years, and it folds up so small that it can be taken anywhere. Ten out ten for the designer for fulfilling the brief simply and perfectly!!

Works for me. Now work hybrid 2/3 home/office, never used a laptop riser with main monitor(s), but colleague recommended. Tried with some upside down mugs for a few days and liked to raised screen. Bought this because it was cheap and portable. Now my colleagues are following. Only thing you need to watch for is making sure the riser legs are posted in the same slot on both sides. You'll know, because the riser will not be completely stable. Lots of very very similar alternatives. Probably very similar.

I just love this stand. It's lightweight, it folds up into the little grey bag, shown, and it's super easy to use. The only thing that annoyed me was that when I moved it, it was easy to knock it out of position. My solution for that was to use a large black elastic band as shown. Now it holds its form and is that rare thing, perfection.

The product quality is good enough and it is surely not flimsy. It helps you to lift your laptop screen such that you can easily look at the screen with a straighy head. The eyes should be leveled almost to the top rim of the screen if I understand correctly. I am very happy with my purchase.I have a 15.6 inch laptop which is thick and rather heavy. Not a problem so far.The latch could have been designed better specially for the highest level you feel like the latch is not filling its hole well. However, it does not fail.The matallic part is cast, so it is not super shiny and the surface is not that smooth. This is not an issue However.Also, the main advantage of this partular product was that it was about 2-3 cm shorter than others. This was quite important for me since I have limited space on my desk.

Best gift i got and handy

Got this stand because work was too cheap to pay for a riser, so went for a cheap one myself.It's fine, it holds up OK though the lack of any kind of 'lock' to keep the legs in place means everything feels a bit loose - the legs don't click into place they just sit there so are easily disturbed. But that doesn't happen too much in normal use so I suppose it's fine.Very lightweight and compact and even comes with a wee bag to store it in.Update: This broke after about 6-7 months of light (not even daily) usage so a bit pointless. Think I'll look for a more robust alternative next time.
