SAM Medical Rolled Splint 36", Orange/Blue

Q: is this splint primirialy for temporary and or short term usage (in case of emergency)?

I believe the intention is for short term use but it is sturdy enough to be useful long term. It is very compact and fits in your med kit pack nicely.

Q: What are the dimensions when rolled up? Trying to figure out if I can fit this in a first aid kit I'm building.

It is just under 11" in circumference and 4" tall. This is really too large for most kits. Still, I can't recommend this enough. I do long hikes either alone or leading groups. Constructing a makeshift splint in the wilderness is nothing anyone wants to do. This is very light and while it will take some room up in your pack, you won't feel it. I keep mine is a small mesh bag.

Sam also makes it flat 9" x 1" On the splint is SAM Splint with Certified Safety also printed on it. It is the original SAM splint just as you see it folded flat.
