It is kind of in-between sponge foam and harder foam.. Very comfortable to wear though. Hope this helps.

Do these make your neck hot in the summer? Can you still feel the breeze? I want to use it on my motorcycle.

We use them for car racing and we do not get overheated in the summer months. Not sure about motorcycle use.

How easy can you turn your head when using it?

I have no problem turning my head when wearing it.
