Quality product plus excellent customer service
This is an outstanding, high-quality water heater that exceeded all our expectations in both performance and value. My wife and I have made it a ritual to enjoy a hot outdoor shower every evening, overlooking our lush South Florida garden. Thanks to Camplux, this daily pleasure was incredibly easy and affordable to set up.The heater arrived within two days, as promised, and was packaged with great care. Installation was a breeze: we simply screwed on the included garden hose adapter, hung the unit in our shower, attached a standard garden hose, connected the supplied propane regulator, and hooked up the included shower head. (If you prefer a fancier shower head, it’s easy to swap out.) Two D-cell batteries power the ignition, and they last a long time. That’s it—within minutes, you’re enjoying a strong, hot shower. No electrician or plumber needed! The water pressure is excellent, and I’m confident it could handle a second shower head if needed. Compared to the cost and hassle of a traditional water heater, this is an incredible bargain. What truly sets Camplux apart is their customer service. After about six months, our unit stopped heating. I dreaded the typical Amazon post-purchase black hole, but to my surprise, Camplux was incredibly easy to reach—I simply Googled their support email and received a helpful reply the same day. After trying a few quick troubleshooting steps they suggested (which were easy), the problem persisted. Without hesitation, they sent us a replacement unit. We were back to enjoying our outdoor showers in no time!I can’t say enough good things about Camplux. Not only is their product top-notch, but their commitment to standing behind it is truly impressive. Highly recommended.

Solid little heater
I bought this to attach to a standalone outdoor shower for my yard. The instructions weren't as clear as I would have liked. Not that it's super complicated, but there were multiple sets of instructions and I felt it wasn't clearly indicated which one applied. Also there wasn't much specifically about how to connect to something other than the included spray handle. I feel that should be added as outdoor shower kits are becoming increasingly popular. However, I was able to figure it out. Since the thing is automatically triggered by the spray nozzle, I have a bit of an issue with the turning on sequence as it starts to tick as soon as I turn the water on the input. Instructions say it's not supposed to until the shower nozzle is triggered. So, I have to change the sequence order to make sure the flame lights up properly. Instead of input on, gas, output. I have to turn the gas on first, then input. But anyway, once set up, there was a learning curve for me to get the appropriate settings but now that I know what levels to turn the gas and water pressure, I have had some very hot showers! Last night I showered outside and had a great steamy shower. It was very easy to mount using the bracket already mounted on the back and a hook. The only issue - I don't think it's avoidable with these types of heaters - is that my water pressure coming out of the shower is now lower. The unit I use actually is powerful directly plugged into a hose. But even with the highest setting on water pressure, it's now about 1/2 as powerful. It's adequate though. Overall, I am very happy with it and I hope it'll last.

Good for camp showers
I've been using this for quite a while and it's still going. Not a very powerful stream of water though. The upside is you have an endless supply as long as you have propane. Good for camp showers where you really don't want to use a lot of water anyway.

Stopped working very early--awful customer service
This is our second one of these. Our first one lasted for several years, but one we bought less than three months ago has already stopped igniting. We've used it less than 10 times. Full propane tank, plenty of water pressure, new batteries...waste of money.I emailed Camplux describing the problem. They called me promptly, but I was not able to talk at the time (taking the kids to town, plus I was not in a position to go through troubleshooting). We decided on a day for them to call back. They did--at 6:30 in the morning (they claimed they were in eastern time zone but I don't believe it). My wife answered and asked them to call back in two hours. They did not. The next day I got an email asking me to rate my customer service experience as if it had been completed (which, in my opinion, had not). Today I returned to the site to check on any warranties (there are none). I clicked on the "support" button and found that my account had been suspended (see attached photo). As if it isn't obvious, it's just another brand selling junk that usually works but sometimes doesn't, and customer support doesn't matter when you have the cheapest product on the market. As for the heater itself, I checked everything--I measured my water pump flow (which was more than sufficient) and switched out parts from a previous heater (same model), put in new batteries, tried other propane regulators, and used a brand new propane tank. For starters, the propane solenoid on the new heater wasn't working. After putting a replacement in, it started clicking again, and even lit once (briefly) but stopped working. Water flows, I get a spark, but no flame. Propane is not moving through the system.
