No it actually very sturdy and comes with a s display stand and the box I received mine aug 2019 -my then boyfriend sent me a gift in the mail every 2days while away -it’s perfect just to remind a person your thinking of them - he also had it wrapped with a note

Are the Rose petals and the green leaf real?

Yes they are real... their is a glaze coat on petals and rose that makes it worth it to me. (Personally I'm tired of seeing flowers that I buy for my woman and shrivel away) this will last and looks good on the wall has she put it up herself.
