Yes. There is a strap inside of carry bag. It is enough to hold the golf bag. Even after installed the golf bag. There are prenty space to put some other stuff such as golf shoes, golf ware.

Q: Does the bag have padded to protect my club head？

Yes,the top of the bag is made of thick soft sponge,protect the club head perfectly.

Q: What is the internal diameter of the bag?

Can’t say for certain but it is very roomy. I had a golf bag with stand. Plus I put my shoes on the sides on the golf bag. And still had lots of space. The buckles come in handy so everything doesn’t just float around inside.

Q: Is it big enough to take a cart bag?

Yes. I have a Calloway cart bag. I fit the golf bag, my shoes, and some extra clothing so I didn’t have to pay for a suitcase I’m my flight.
