Not that I’m aware of. As far as I know and could look up the formula for this hasn’t changed. However I do NOT suggest you order this, or any compact powder makeup, from Amazon.

is this good for pale skin?

The lighter shade should be fine for a pale complexion, and if you blend the light with just a touch of the darker shade on a brush you could use it for contouring. The darker shade might be a little too dark for you if used by itself.

How come online this is $20 but in stores it's under $5

There are all kinds of crazy disparities in pricing on- line in all kinds of products. Search anything (batteries? mouthwash? wheat germ?) and you will see this. I imagine that some sellers do this because some people fall for it. Seems crazy, but if that didn't work no one would do it? Just laugh it off and say "there's another crazy one!"
