Great product - It works
Ordered 07/2023 & received 15gm Celox pack with an expiration date of 05/2027. This order was to replace an older pack I just opened & used on my pet. Due to the vertical location of the wound, had to pour it on while holding a gauze pad lightly over the area so the Celox would not fall to the ground. Then with the gauze pressed against the wound, wrapped with cling gauze. Next day checked area without opening the "scab" by using some sterile wound wash to loosen & clean excess Celox/gauze that adhered to the fur. The bleeding was stopped & did not perfuse into the cling gauze, worked for great for us.

Got to use it yesterday!
I carry this in my hunting "Blow Out" kit. Yesterday while up placing game cameras for cougars my friend asked me "How much longer you going to be?" As it was getting towards dark and he had asked a few times how long the hike was out I thought "Geez, this guy know something I don't?" I looked up to see him holding his hand up with blood running down his arm at a fast pace. He had cut his finger while cutting up an apple. (Note, this is why I don't use BIG knives in the woods). He had cut the pad of his index finger nearly clean off. It was hanging by just an 1/8th of an inch. I told him "Hey! I can fix that!" I pulled out my Israeli band aid that I bought on Amazon and then the Celox 15 gr packet and went to work. It bleed like a stuck pig until I poured it on his finger and had him apply pressure and hold it above his heart level. I wrapped it with Gorilla tape (the nurse told me to get some Corbon tape for next time) and we hiked the three miles out to the Jeep. he didn't think it was necessary to go to the Dr. but I figured we would let the Dr decide that. He took three stitches to his finger and the Dr told him it was a good thing he didn't hesitate to come it or he would of lost the pad.It worked as advertised but I had over half a pack left over. This pack is for bigger wounds so I will replace it and also buy the 10 pack 5gr package and spread them out in the kits I have in my cars and home. The Dr had no problem rinsing it off, the nurse came out and asked where I got the Celox because she wanted to buy some for Christmas and give to her dad who hunts and have some for her car first aid kit. My friend offered to pay me for the Celox but I told him "No, it was worth it just to see how well it worked". I also have the Deep Wound Plunger Celox but hope I never need to use it.

Must have...
This is a must have in any first aid kit. From first-hand experience, IT DOES WORK. After coming close to cutting off a finger in a metal working accident this saved me from massive blood loss. When I sustained the injury, we attempted to standard compression dressings and they quickly soaked through. After applying Celox, the bleeding stopped relatively quickly. Once at Urgent Care, the Dr. who had never seen it in use before was surprised at its effectiveness. Cleanup is achieved with standard irrigation of the wound. Needless to say, every Aid-Kit I have has this or `QuickClot'.

stops bleeding. Slam quick.
I got a shallow and huge cut (think road rash but DEEP) over my entire palm. Blood everywhere. No way to bandage it as it just kept going and pushing everything out of the way or soaking it.Looked like a bad horror movie. I used the celox and it swiftly, yet reluctantly stopped. Meaning, I didn't dump the whole thing at once - I waited to see where the blood was still coming out and reapplied again. Saved me a trip to the hospital during COVID.It's an emergency gotta have it now medicine - but you don't know when you will need it.Get it and put it somewhere your wife (husband, mistress, children) can find it when they're freaking out at the sight of your blood.

Good for just in case piece of mind
Hopefully I never need to use it but I added this to my med bag for peace of mind and just in case along with a whole bleed control kit, do a lot of remit camping where help is far and I am a EMT though expired still knowledgeable in the field.
