What is the measurement from the wall to the inside door(closest to wall); more precisely, to the outside of the inside door?

The distance between the wall to the inside of the door can be calculated using the following formula:(2-1/4")-(Thickness of your door) For example, If your door is 1-1/" thick then you apple the following formula: (2-1/4")-(1-1/2") = 3/4". In this exaple the distance between the wall and the inside of your inner door is 3/4" I hope this helps you out.

I need to hang 4 shutters on a track. Can the roller hardware be purchased seperately? I dont need 2 tracks.

I would contact the manufacture. You have to calculate the over lap of the two doors where they meet in the middle. I built my own doors and it took a bit of calculating to get it right. But i can say the product is well built and sturdy

Can you add soft-close attachment to this double door hardware?

TBH I was not sure what this was so I watched a video. I think you can except I do not see it working with the "overlapping" door so that might defeat what you are trying to accomplish. There is a piece of hardware for the soft close to work that has to be connected to the top of each door that essentially travels directly under the track (at least in the video I watched). The top of the "overlapping" door does not travel directly under the track as you can see from the hardware to accomplish this bypass process. With a single bypass track only the "rear" door could be soft closing. You would need a double track bypass door to accomplish both doors being soft close. Hope this helps.
