Does this phone require an available power outlet?

The beauty of this highly capable phone is that it does not need a power outlet. simply plug thee telephone jack into the tel wall outlet and you are set!!! Happy Phoning!

No, it doesn't require. Also it works when there is no power!

Can phone be wall mounted?

Yes--I bought two, one for the bedside table and one that hangs in the kitchen. This was the narrowest/ smallest two line phone I could find...very satisfactory except the ringer, even on low, can wake the dead!NBS

will this phone hang on wall and work on landline when power out.?

While I use the phone as a desk phone, the unit comes with a mounting plate that facilitates wall mounting. Remove the mounting plate from the phone and attach it to the wall, then reinstall the phone on the mounting plate. The phone is powered from the landline connection. No external electric power is required. Both lines are powered from their respective landlines. Good two-line deskset for the price and fits my purposes.
