what is the difference between the different "blades" and "combs". Which do I need?

Hello,The blades are the components that actually do the cutting on the clippers. The combs are what give the the desired length of hair, when attached to the blades. For example: Attach a #0 comb for a 1/16" length hair cut, Attach a #1 comb for a 1/8" length hair cut, Attach a #2 comb for a 1/4" length hair cut, Attach a #3 comb for a 3/8" length hair cut, Attach a #4 comb for a 1/2" hair cut, Attach a #5 comb for a 5/8" length hair cut, Attach a #6 comb for a 3/4" length hair cut, Attach a #7 comb for a 7/8" length hair cut, Attach a #8 comb for a 1" length hair cut, and Attach a #10 comb for a 1 1/4" length hair cut. Now depending on what type of hair cut you are trying to accomplish for what type of dog, you will need various types of sizes of blades to accomplish that. What's the difference between these combs vs the metal blades, which also come in different lengths?

The metal blades only go up to 3.75 , if you add these attachable combs to the OA detachable blade you can go all the way up to a #10 which is 1"
