Protects your glass
I purchased this 2 years ago, and just bought a new one today. It works amazingly well to protect your glass from dogs. In those 2 years I've fostered many, many dogs and there isn't a single mark on my French doors. The product itself is scratched up like crazy and it was impossible to tell if the glass was or wasn't scratched without removing it so I was pleasantly surprised to find clear, unmarked glass behind it.I didn't have any issues with the included adhesive rounds. I put mine directly on the glass and it held until I forcibly removed it. I live in southern US, and my door is under a covered porch roof, so not sure if cold weather or direct sunlight has any effect on the adhesion. One thing I'm going to do differently when I install the new one, though, is use a flat double sided tape all along the top edge. While the included circle tape worked fine, the open gap at the top allows dirt and dust to accumulate between the guard and the glass, and you can't get to it to clean it. It drives me nuts and makes your door look filthy. Between the scratches and the dirt, it's a real eyesore. But I'd still rather have the scratch marks on this than my glass and hopefully sealing off the top edge will help keep it looking cleaner.

Works for my small dog
My extremely anxious 11 lb dog sometimes scratches at the door to escape. This is thick enough for him, although I don't think it would stand up to a large dog. I also couldn't use the door hanger because it didn't fit over my handle. Had to cut that off. Because of comment that it didn't stick well and I need to use removable adhesives in my apartment, I used Command picture hanging strips instead. They work fine and there's no falling off.

Saving my new glass door from scratches outside!
Writing my review on 12/30/23. Purchased March 2022. SO HAPPY with this purchase! I followed the directions and it worked for me. I installed it by myself. It's on an outside sliding door and I live in MN, so it's exposed to all temps. The first summer, it still had some bubbles or markings on places so you could clearly see I had put something on the glass. The second summer and continuing now, it's like one with the glass door. Crystal clear, even the adhesive circles, except for all the scratches!! I have a big labrador who jumps and scratches to be let inside. Our last Andersen Windows door was SO scratched up from 2 labs and guests, and delaminated from the scratching, rotted, and had to be replaced. I installed this so it covers where the window meets the door, the most important part. I did not have to install the second one as the length was long enough to cover his jumping scratches. The dog only has a couple years left but the new Andersen door should last another 30 years and beyond. My glass is protected beautifully! I use the hose-off Windex products. The cleaner has gotten between the window and the vinyl with no issues at all. I think it helped it stick to the window better! I can't say enough good things about this protector. I tried to take a photo but you'd never even notice it was there, so I did not post.

HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!!!
Don’t do it !!!!!!! If you’re looking to buy / or want a plastic placemat go to the dollar store. You’ll be happier with your choice. This product is ridiculous!🤔 This product “DOES NOT WORK!!My puppy worked right thru it, he destroyed /scratched up the door, peeled off areas of the product with no problem. 😡😡 Now my door needs to be sanded and repainted.I gambled on this product and lost more than what I invested. I even tried to peel the remaining off as shown in advertisement, but all it did was make everything worse. 😡😡🤞🏼Please don’t make the same mistake as I did.I’m so disgusted and upset with the results

Not visually appealing
1. The adhesive stickers are garbage. I now have to repaint my door, as the stickers peeled off and took the paint with them.2. It does look like I cut an office chair floor mat and put it on my door. One that never looks flush on the door.3. Does keep the cats from scratching the door, though they've now just moved half an inch over and destroy the trim. Nothing like that wood feel on the claws, I guess.

Super easy to put up
Bad reviews are usually due to operator error.I didn't have to lay it flat for days, it's thick plastic. Come on lol. It unrolled easily and flattened out just fine when I put it up.It wasn't as difficult to take the backing off the adhesive as everyone else is saying. You just have to take your time and not be ridiculous about it.When I put it on I didn't press the adhesive down hard and was able to reposition it without any damage. I do expect to have to repaint when I take it off, but that's not a big deal to me. Once you press it down hard, it's really on there and yeah paint is coming off with it.It seems like it will hold up well, we'll find out once my dog starts jumping on the door.I'll come back to update if it's pulled off easily, but overall I'm happy with this purchase and it seems like it will do what it's supposed to do.

Protect your door
This scratch protector is probably the best one I've tried so far. You just need to trim it at the bottom.I used it for the outside of my door and it lasted for 2 winters which I was very happy about. This is my second one.

Did not Work for a 12 year female German Shorthair Pointer
I thought it would work, but my 12 year old female hunting dog pulled it down and tore it into 3 pieces the 1st full day after we attached it to the door. The sticky circles came off attached to the vinyl, and took the paint in circles with it. I had unpainted circles left on the door, so I had to have the door repainted. For me, it was a waste of money.
