DAX Carbon Fiber Cap Brim 50-50 (Orange/Black)

IT LOOKS GREAT !The ratchet suspension SUCKS !!!It sits high on your head to begin with but then so little plastic is used in the suspension, that you have to wear SO TIGHT, that the plastic digs into your forehead. Within a 1/2 hour I get a splitting headache.Doing Heavy Construction, on a Bridge, it was so windy (which is normal on a Bridge) that I had to tape the "Lift" hard hat to my head & under my chin, especially that it cost me $145, I didn't want my hard hat floating in the Atlantic Ocean.Like I said...IT LOOKS GREAT !WISH IT WORKED, AS GREAT AS IT LOOKS.Update review...Two years later, still looks great and has spared me a few concussions. The head of a hammer, flew off the handle of a laborer's hammer, hit the hard hat and the only thing that happened, was the orange paint chipped off where it struck (good thing it wasn't a sledge hammer). Just ordered a replacement 6 point suspension system and it feels better than the original one that it came with.The synthetic leather sweat band on the original, was just a small peace in the front of the suspension. The replacement almost goes from ear to ear so it no longer digs in to your head. It's perfect now!

Most comfortable hard hat I ever had. Dont realize it's on your head after a hour or two. Definitely worth the money . Looks dame good to. Splurge a little last longer and super comfortable the insert is the best !!!

So I got the ball cap version of this hard hat and its very lightweight, feels like I'm just wearing a regular hat weight wise. Its very nice looking the carbon fiber and orange is very bright and shiny and even the inside is finished very nicely. The headgear/suspension inside is not good... it fits the head ok and has some nice padding for the top of your head however it pulls and catches my hair (I have average length hair for a guy)constantly. If you have short hair (buzz cut) you'll probably be fine. It doesn't pull on top. only on the sides and in the back. Also the ratchet wheel/cinch portion is on a pivot. This is nice because its a personalized fit, however any time you look up the ratchet wheel gets pushed up to the top of the hard hat and then it isn't as secure on your head anymore. Another thing to note is that this hardhat has the reverse donning symbol, meaning you can safely wear it backwards per ANSI and OSHA

The shell looks awesome out of the box. It has 6 point leather padded guts, which for me fits way to snug. It’s probably super safe but, other than the looks I don’t like it, because the comfort. FYI I wear 7’5/8 fitted

The only thing I didn't like about this was a couple of the clips for the liner wouldn't snap in all the way because they were bent but I straightened them out and haven't had a problem since.
