BIG RED T88011 Torin Portable Horizontal Air Tank with 50" Hose, 11 Gallon Capacity, Red

I've wanted one of these for a long time for one off small projects. Finally pulled the trigger on this model when I needed some compressed air to clear AC drain lines. The quality seems great and it worked as expected. The only change I made was to add a longer air hose.

The Schrader valve & air hose suck. Removed them and added 1/4" Milton full flow quick disconnects, Milton air hose and a larger gauge. After spending an additional $50 for fittings now the tank is perfect

This is a very nice tank and it appears to be well-constructed. However, the pressure gauge glass was broken, and I've searched every square inch and can't find the expiry date that is supposed to be stamped on the tank. I believe these tanks are good for at least 20 years, so I'll put my own expiry label on it. When I ordered the tank, I also ordered a stainless steel 160 psi liquid-filled gauge, so it doesn't matter that the gauge that came with it is broken. I also have my own 4-foot air hose (Goodyear) so I simply discarded the one that came with the tank, as well as a nice tire inflator gauge that I'll be using with it. Overall, I would definitely buy it again and would recommend it, bearing in mind my modifications.

Some reviewers said it has a cheap coupler system,(which it isn’t high end) but the tank I received works fine and holds air. Have had 90 psi in it for a few weeks now and has not leaked down, just make sure valve is closed when not in use

The unit has not worked properly since I received it. The tank is sporadic in whether it will attempt to fill standard automobile tires. I can put the tire chuck on some tires and hear it properly filling, but over half the time I'll put the tire chuck on a tire fill tube and nothing happens.I contacted Torin customer service, which decided it was a bad manifold and expected me to repair the tank when they sent the part instead of sending a replacement tank since it is still under warranty. The existing manifold is torqued on to the tank to such a degree that I am not able to get the old manifold off. Now customer service doesn't return my emails.Ideally you'd like companies you purchase from to either have flawless products or flawless customer service, or both. Unfortunately, Torin has neither.

This is a great air tank for the money.

Will not hold pressure even just overnight. Pressure gauge and valve device on top of tank cannot be made to operate properly. Buyer beware. Do not open package or try to make work or it cannot be returned. Regarding value for money feature on this survey, there should be a zero rating, which is what this is.
