Very easy to use. Figure out your maximum fork oil capacity and subtract the recommend oil level from it. Set the ring on this tool to that number. Put in the fork and extract any extra.Kind of a pain to hold the ring on there fork while trying to keep it level and extract at the same time, but not bad.Great tool

Made the photo showing the device outside of the fork to illustrate use. Obviously when you actually use it, the evacuation tube sits down in the fork, and you remove oil with the syringe until the oil lowers to the level below the evacuation tube. This method is much faster and more exact than guesstimating with a ruler, adding a little oil at a time. Or, alternately, a flexible tube connected to a syringe (my typical method prior to this tool), which works fine, but the tube is flexible and the measurements tend to be a little less exact. This is dumb simple. Preset the collar and tube to the correct oil level from the top of the tube, fill fork tube, pump the air out. Then as the last step, remove the oil down to the correct oil height.I'm excited to experiment with a little more exact variance in oil height to change performance slightly. This tool will make that possible, as its repeatable and fairly exact.
