Super Springs Easy to Install
I bought this product after careful consideration of an air lifter system and the super springs. I tow a 25' travel trailer and needed to keep the back end of my truck from squatting, and wanted more overall stability when towing. I decided on the Super Springs SSR-209-47, SuperSprings Rear for Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I read through all of the materials for installation then looked at the install videos and decided this was way too easy and was not complicated AT ALL. Raised up the back end of the pickup so the bed of the truck was lifted giving some additional space to work. Then took off the OEM bump stocks - very easy. At that point it I put the washers in place on the bolt and screwed in the Super Springs into the existing receptacle. It fit! Then unscrewed the Super Spring, added the supplied blue liquid lock tight to the bolt and re-inserted the bolt and Super Spring and tightened it down. Duplicated the process on the other side and it was done. No special tools necessary. When I let the bed of the truck back down there was just enough space between the bottom of the Super Spring and the metal bracket on the axle to sick the end of my pointer finger in it. Perfect. This keeps the Super Spring from being engaged all the time. After installation I measured the distance between the finder and the roadway exactly at the middle of the rear tire. It was 28.5". When I added the trailer to the hitch, it came down to 28" being supported on the Super Springs. Now the headlights will be level and they don't need any adjustment. When driving with the trailer now, there is much more control with the load and the overall tow experience is firmer and feels more secure.Excellent product and does exactly what they claim it does. And, for my pickup, no special tools was needed - neither was it necessary to have any help to get them installed... However, my wife was present as moral support - Thanks honey! Couldn't have done it without you. :-)

Awesome product
We’re about to take a trip in our 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab while pulling a 24ft. camper. The installation couldn’t have been easier, and it definitely added some stability to the rear end. I noticed the bumps in the road a little more during the first drive after installation, but hardly notice them there. It’s important to note that these do not add capacity, they simply help with stability and I really didn’t want the rear end of my truck sagging while towing heavy loads.09/2021 Update:We pulled a 26’ camper trailer and I can honestly say that there were times where not having the SuperSprings would have cause my truck to bottom out and even lose stability with the weight of the trailer on the hitch. I’m sold on these things and would recommend them to anyone looking for stability and less sag on the rear end.

Easy to install and they do a great job!
I got the black ones, mid-range weight support. They were very easy to install. I did use the spacers provided, they still didn’t quite make contact with the perch on the axle. I measured the height of the bottom of the fenders before and after connecting the trailer and only saw about 5/8” sag in the rear and 1/4” lift in the front. This is much better that the nearly 2” sag in the rear prior to installing the sump springs. Definitely recommend! I’ll try to post photos but the app is acting funny and will not allow me to right now.

Definitely an improvement
I have a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado with a 3.5 inch lift and I tow a 30ft camper that weighs about 7000lbs. After I had the lift installed pulling the camper became a bit sloppy even with the weight distribution hitch. I decided to give Sumo Springs a try and I was very pleased. The bounce at the hitch was significantly reduced. They were easy to install too. Installation took about 10-15 min.Well worth the investment

No space between spring and axle due to leveling kit
3/3/2021: I bought these helper springs to help with any towing I do (trailer, boat, etc.). There is no space between the springs and the axle like others have stated. Although, I do have a 2” leveling kit on it and that may be why there is no space. The ride is comfortable almost as if I’m riding on air bags. Only time will tell if constant contact will mess these springs up. Tools: 10mm socket, 1/4 Allen socket, 2” extender, and ratchet wrench. And in my case a jack. Easy work. Vehicle 2017 Chevrolet 1500 6.2L 4x4.
