ARIES 202011 3-Inch Round Black Steel Nerf Bars, No-Drill, Fits Select Toyota FJ Cruiser

For just over $100 shipped (with Prime) these Aries 202011 3" Black Side Step Bars are a really good deal. My FJ Cruiser had a set of Westin Bars on it, which were install in 2007 at the dealership while still on the lot. They lasted 12 years, but were getting really rusted out. When a hole finally appeared, it was time to start looking for a replacement. These side bars go as high as $400. I wanted to stick with black as my grill-guard and taillight grills were black, so when I started looking at these, several came up on my Amazon.com search. These were among the cheapest and the reviews were good so I ordered a set.I downloaded instructions from the Aries website, but when the bars arrived I learned that they were not current instructions. Current instruction were included in the box. From the photos on Amazon, these bars had two support points however when the arrived they were BETTER. They have three support points.If you're thinking about these, get them. They installed in about 30 minutes and come with all the necessary hardware. The bolts are coated or painted so you don't have to worry about doing that either. The right and left bars are different, but you'll easily figure that out when you install them, just install the parts in the order the instructions indicate.

These side steps were reasonably priced and look great on my FJ Cruiser. I had to install them for some of my older relatives that were having a hard time getting in my car. Amazon sent the wrong steps by mistake and since I ordered it as a Prime member it was returned and replaced without hassle or cost to me. Be careful when you go to install as there is a dedicated passenger side and drivers side step. We didn't realize that at first and it took a while, and a call to the factory, to figure it out. But once we got them on (not as easily as others have reported ~ be sure you have the right tools as well) they look great and are solid. I just put them on so I don't know how they will last but hopefully they won't corrode over time. I have a good feeling about the steps, the Aries Company, and Amazon Prime.

I needed a step up bar for my 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser. After a fair amount of web research on both Amazon and manufacturer websites I went with the Aries 202011 Black Side Step Bar. My decision was based on their build quality, looks, and that they were shipped direct from Amazon.Decision:I looked around and although some other manufacturers and sites offered similar pricing, most came in higher than Aries through Amazon when you factored shipping costs. Also I just liked the looks of the tubular steel bars, rubber steps, and slightly angled front and back to give the whole accessory a streamlined look. My main purpose was providing an easier step-up to the FJ for my younger children as well as my wife. The car isn't raised but it can be a bit high to hoist yourself up especially when you're getting into the backseats.Delivery & packaging:Delivery was very fast. From order to delivery in Southern California was about a week with the free shipping option. Packaging was more than sufficient with good styrofoam padding, each bar wrapped well in plastic, and the hardware separately bundled and padded.Install:After receving them I was thrilled to see how simply they installed on my 2010 FJ Cruiser. Instructions call for mounting two brackets per bar which use bolts to screw directly into the car chassis. Each bracket connects to the bar with two bolts for a secure fit. Once all bolts are hand tightened, the step up bar is solid as if it came directly from the factory. With a socket wrench my total install time was 20 minutes; about 10 per side. Very straightforward project even for the total car novice.Product:Upon install the bars look really good and feel very solid underfoot. Outside of the rubber steps that have an understated "Aries" on them the bars look like they came factory installed. I've had them for a month or so now and they've held up very well and I can easily see them providing a decade or so of use. Aries seems to make a high quality product and I'm impressed with my first purchase.Summary:Good step bar, good purchase and delivery experience through Amazon (as usual), if you're looking for easier step ups into your cab and if you want to give an aesthetic edge to your ride I would highly recommend a pair of Aries Step Up Bars.

I chose these based on the reviews and price. As the others have said, installation is easy with four bolts on each side to the frame and four bolts to attach the tubes. The frame is pre-threaded and all you need are two different sized sockets or wrenches. The brackets are solid and heavy and at first I was concerned that the tubes weren't sturdy but when attached they are rock solid. I think the total weight was around 50 pounds so you know they aren't flimsy. They look nice and my seven year old can now get into my 2007 FJ Cruiser that has a two inch lift and some beefy tires.

Nice enough for the price, easy install and came with the proper hardware. Faded after 1 year and will need repainting. Wish I had spent a little more money on factory units

I got these because my kids and family/friends with knee issues had trouble getting in and out of our FJ Cruiser. At first, everyone who was used to the vehicle felt they needed to step over the step but now they are using it properly. They look nearly like the factory version from what I can tell (you can see the bolts on the bottom of these from the very side but it doesn't bother me).Assembly was easy. I wouldn't say it was a 10 minute install because the bolts go in a fairly tight spot on the front but it is not technical at all.

This is a quality product with and exceptional fit. Very easy to install and straight forward. Looks as nice as the factory rock rails and are 1/3 the price . also more functional as a sidestep with a 3" powder coated stainless steel tube .
