Good fit good price for an OEM
Great price for an OEM filter. The Purolator I had in there after 20,000 miles was full of stuff and turned dark. I guess the Purolator was doing its job if there was a bunch of stuff in there and my filter reminder was starting to show yellow already. I didn’t really drive anywhere really dirty. I just feel better getting an OEM filter and I believe the Ford one is waterproof to an extent. And it look like the Purolator might’ve gotten wet.

Save some dough and replace your own filter
My local tire shop "killed" me on a recent replacement for this filter. I bought it on Amazon for at least $25 less. It couldn't have taken ten minutes to install, including the time it took to get a small step-stool out of the garage to reach the filter in my truck. Ford recommends these be replaced around 20,000 mile intervals. That comes out to every other oil change on a Powerstroke. Make sure you have properly seated the filter and the filter cover. PS: to see the dirty side of the filter, you have to pull the cover back and lift the filter out. My F-250 Powerstroke has a "wear" indicator gauge on the outside of the filter box.

Expensive, But works great
Factory part - with a turbo-diesel, you don't want a cheap air filter, but there is no logical reason this part should cost what it does.

Every One of these you buy helps stop ISIS
You want to get in your Superduty and dispense freedom? Can't do it cause your fuel mileage is being hampered by a dirty freedom filter? This is the surefire way to ensure the freedom your engine is ingesting is communist free. Trying to get one of these in your local parts store? Don't bother. All them parts stores are commies and charge you $70+. Buy your freedom filter right here and if you have prime....it will be there before you can cawww like a bald eagle.Have you Merica'd today?!
