Easy to use
I have one of the cars that has no gas cap (thanks Ford). What were they thinking? With gas prices really high I felt the need to make it harder to steal my gas. This cap snaps right in to place easily. No annoying screwing it in. The keys fit in either way so that makes it easy too. It's not theft proof IMO as it is made of something other than steel. Some sort of composite material. But it will at least deter the thieves hopefully.

This has been great someone kept stealing my husband's gas from his car so we got this and it has been very helpful great value for the money. Easy to lock up. Very functional too

Works perfectly on 2018 Explorer
With the increase in gasoline prices and general lawlessness these days, I decided the unlockable gas cap cover and NO gas cap on our 2018 Ford Explorer was just plain ridiculous. This solved that problem. Fits perfectly, and would be at least SOME deterrent to a gas thief or vandal. A little difficult to get the key in unlock position when it’s on a crowded key ring, but that’s on us, not this product.

perfect fit
Was skeptical on getting the locking cap for my 2018 Ford Focus, with concerns for fit and function. Was very surprised at the prefect fit to the port, and ease of locking it/unlocking it.With gas prices so astronomical, there have been "people" siphoning tanks in my area. This gives me peace of mind that I'm not going to get in my car and see half of my gas gone. Definitely recommend!

Occasionaly get " check fuel fill inlet " light
The Ford truck we put it on is a low mileage unit that only gets driven a few miles daily and is well maintained. We suspected someone dumped water into a couple of our vehicles gas tanks while on a camping trip. After repair bills and tows home, we bought locking caps for our vehicles to prevent issues in the future. The truck is one that does not need a gas cap, but we wanted to lock others out from the fill. So far we have had no issues with the cap being tampered with.. Now the reason for the 3 star overall review. : If you pry on it just right with a small screwdriver, you can pop this cap off without a key. its not difficult to do, and does not break the cap. The other flaw is since install we have gotten the " check fuel inlet " code on the dash a few times. It does not affect the way the truck runs, or the fuel mileage. Its just a little annoying, although its a small price to pray for some added protection
